Check eBay, I snagged some Snap-Ons at a pawn shop once in a big bucket of $1 wrenches, mostly Craftsman and chinese stuff, but found a few Snap-On in their as well.

I have seen them be about 1/2 retail.
Most techs are NOT buying tools right now as it is REAL SLOW in all shops. |

Snap-on tools are expensive.Unless they look like they came off an Iraqi ice-cream truck, knock $5-$10 off.

about 40-50% off retail will move them , special tools will bring more money but . I would look at Craigslist and at pawnshops as mentioned. I am looking for a few odd things if you have a 1-1/8 3/4 drive impact socket let me know

I am no longer turning wrenches for a living, but when I buy tools I still buy MAC and Snap-On, however I normally buy them on Ebay. I typically pay between 25% and 50% of retail on them, if they get more expensive than that I let the other idiot have them, and wait a day or two to get them cheaper, I rarely have to wait though.
While I appreciate these tools, most people don't, I once bought a nice set of Snap-On SAE wrenches from a Flea Market used tool vendor, I paid a dollar each for them, he was charging $2 each for Craftsman. I asked him about them, and he told me he is selling them cheap because he doesn't like to keep off name junk on his tables. |

i sold a $60 5-piece powertoolset. for read this: 5 bucks. on ebay, pissed me off. total barely covered shipping the damn thing.. it was a no name brand, but still it had a sander, jig, flashlight, drill, screwdriver, extra batterey and charger too..
thinking of buying some used mufflers, slappin obongo stickers on it and selling them as official obaamaa mufflers. |
