Has our ADD society moved on to something else?

Pokémon Go had potential, but Niantic ruined it by not having player to player gaming, trades, or reliable service. Plus the game got repetitive after a while and the new raid system sucks when nobody else is playing it.

Still going on. Just restricted cause reasons and it needs to be translated eventually.

Fad... Just like tattoos and massive beards, only you're pretty much stuck with the tattoos.

The same Pokemon over and over. |

Most nerds discovered masturbation was more fun and did not require them to leave the couch.

The useful idiots served well until they were no longer needed. Then game over.

Repetitive gameplay, banning the trackers and never updating the damn game did it in for me. Heck I logged in this summer after almost a year and they still dont even have basic sound effects in the game. They own the IP but Pikachu is the only one that actually talks, the rest just spew out bursts of garbled static.
The game was fun but standing back and looking at later, it looks like a college undergrad project. |

My 26 yo son plays it all the time. As does my 27 yo son in law. And believe it or not, both are pretty productive members of society and neither live in my basement. Although the son does have a shit ton of car parts stored in my basement.

The 3DS games are still out there and popular. My son usually wants whatever the new one is as a birthday present.

This. I tried it for about a week. It was a lot of fun and I noticed my fat ass got a bunch of exercise. Had Niantic developed the game further most people would have stuck with it. It had a ton of potential but Niantic pissed it away. View Quote Now get fucking destroyed by that Evy that was caught by a high level player, which is the exact opposite of how Pokemon were known to work, pretty much since the beginning. Have a friend who plays too? Want to battle his Pokemon? Are you at location with a Gym? No? Too bad fucknuckles, all you can do is trade phones and look at them, which is also against how Pokemon was known to work since the beginning. Want to trade Pokemon with a friend? Lol, too bad. One more thing that you can't do that was included in the original GameBoy games. One year later, and no one is playing anymore? Gee whiz, I wonder why. ![]() |

Pokemon, fidget spinners, antifa, blm, trannies, pet rocks....It's all BS.

still happening. there's a pokemon gym across the street from my house. People still pull up once or twice a night when I'm out there and just park there trying to take over the gym or see an actual woman or something. Pretty common.
Not like the first few weeks after release though, there were cars there day and night. it was like a drug house there for a while, people pulling up, parking and leaving after a few minutes all night long ![]() |

Ran into a creepy ass mofo in the church property woods behind my house a few weeks ago. He was looking for some Pokémon.
Ever have the the hair on your neck stand up when you encounter someone. That was this dude. Looked very similar to Agent Smith from the Matrix. |

I'm convinced the entire Go thing was developed to gather free mapping data for Google, NSA, or whomever.

LOL my wife asked the same question yesterday. She was like, what happened to that thing where all the nerds were running around in the street? we have lived here since 97 and had no idea so many fat, nerdy kids lived so close to us.

Given that Pokemon has been in swing since the mid 90s and new games still sell literally millions or copies, I think it is safe to say that it is still around.

The elementary school kids graduated to middle school and decided they were too grown up for pokemon?
