Are you a Team Member or just a plain 'ole Member??? I'm just curious and there seems to be a lot more Team guys around these days. Also, if you're not a Team Member but you post here more than Obama gives public speeches, why have you not ponied up the $$ for a Team Membership and to help the site?? Nothing personal, just an honest question and looking for honest answers. Thanks for responding.
Very Respectfully, SleeperShooter ETA: Please post something every now and then to keep this near the first page or three. Thanks. |

In before the Mods and Site Staff feel left out and drops the time out hammer for lulz.

IBTL and I am a Member What do you mean "IBTL"??? Nothing to lock the thread over. Just asking a simple question. -SS |

team member. . .have been since I joined the sight, however this current team membership was a gift from Poke and Brion

I joined as a Team Member when I registered for the site. I upgraded to Gold when I renewed this year.
I love this place.

Before I was a team member I didn't pay because I didn't know it was expected. I have been a member of about a dozen forums and none of them cared if you were a paying member or not, it was never even mentioned. When I first joined this forum I probably spent over $2K with site sponsors over a two week time period. If there was a comment section at checkout I would always type "came from AR15.com." So I guess what I'm trying to say is, I felt like I was contributing to the site even though I didn't have a team membership. It also never even crossed my mind to pay to join a website. I know it costs money to run a site, just never really thought about it. I ended up buying a membership because of the EE. It was very helpful and I felt like I needed to pay it forward. CSB

As soon as I registered I bought a Gold membership. The tech forums alone are worth contributing to this site.

Kinda ironic that the only people replying to this thread so far are all Team Members.

I became team soon after I joined. I like this site and wanted to join the elite.

Just a member, hopefully going to buy a team membership sooner or later.
|
|
I'm a basic team player. I like the monthly give-aways. I won't give anymore money for internet play time.
|
|
I'm one of the leeches. I can't justify spending money on a website that has multiple sponsers that i allready spend enough money at. I am restricted to a budget so i would rather spend the $24 on ammo. I know its sounds cheap but its a fact of my life. If i have a more liberal income i would buy a membership.

If no one paid for membership would the site go belly up? Who owns AR-15.com? Is this a for profit buisness? Are the mods paid money? I support many site vendors heavily and I suspect they in turn carry the burden of keeping this site up with their advertising $ |

I am basically just plain broke. My wife and I won't even be giving gifts to each other this Christmas, only others. So yeah, no membership thanks to no money.
IF I had money, I might still not though, and that's because of the retarded rules about bikini pictures etc. in GD. It's just fucking gay. Despite what some seem to think, this isn't a family forum. I can say cunt lapping fuckhead and not get into trouble. I can post the goriest picture I ever did see and not get into trouble. Some bikini covered tits make it onto the page though and it's "oh my fucking god thread lock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" time! Those kinds of arbitrary rules don't exactly inspire me to join, although I do enjoy the site overall and would like to support it to some degree. |

member for another few weeks when funds allow i plan on going gold

Team member until tomorrow. Start begging! I was thinking of whoring myself out to 24 fat chicks for $1 each, but then thought better of it. The truth is I just signed a contract to join the mil. last week. I'm not sure if I'll pay for a year membership when I don't know how much I'll be able to surf in the next year. |

I don't want the site to become a pr0n site (did I do that correctly?) at all but this is not a family forum. Seen some pretty arbitrary enforcement by mods too. The other problem I have is the money. Yeah I could afford it but not sure my money is not just building a nicer mansion for some dude. I am a member of many other forums that are free and are non-profit supported by advertising. What's up with this forum? |
|
I recently bought my first team membership. I get a lot out of this site, so I figured it deserves a healthy profit. I also do business with those who advertise here.
