How many have a name for their rifle?
What is it?
Why?

My AR: Charlene, what else?
My 700: The Slut, because she's used, but damned good at what she does.
My .270: Christine, rhymes with Charlene.

My FAL is "The Beast", because it hits hard on both ends.

My Marlin 45-70 lever action is my "Boom Stick". Y'all know why.

My newest addition, the wonderful AR so far has been termed "The Slinky" because of that great "Bjjj" sound that the buffer spring makes (it pleasantly surprised me when I first shot it last week).

But names can change sometimes...

A few names are "no longer available", "illegal to currently import", "illegal to manufacture today", "scarce", "expensive", "illegal to even own in some states", etc.

Sheesh.  I feel silly about this, but here goes:

The M4 is simply "Black Beauty"
Remington 700 PSS .308 was named "Play Pretty" by my wife.  (It's a southern thing)
Her Sig 232 is "Siggy," as named by the previous owner.
The '03 Springfield and 1898 .30-40 Krag carbine are collectively know as "The Old Girls."
I call the '03 simply "Slobberknocker" for the effect at both ends.

I shot a military bolt gun match last weekend @ red castle, with a 39/40 Mosin Naggent.  I renamed her after the ex. after she kick the livin $#!^ outta me @ 200,300 500& 600yrds.  Her new name isn't "Bitch" it's "MONSTER"..
