Oddball: Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

In general I like WWII movies, but there is something about "The Bridges at Toko-Ri" that I really like.

Also, Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan.

FMJ, Platoon, Blackhawk down...

For Miniseries, Generation Kill, the Pacific, and Band of Brother

There are many more...but for realism I picked what I think are the best 3

True, when I made that post I was thinking more along the lines of BHD that was mentioned above, but I guess it is more of a documentary.

Anyway, a guy got a MOH during the action that was filmed in Restrepo. His interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50RFJfUzNsY

Black Hawk Down maybe?  There are so many its impossible to say.  I could tell you my favorite civil war, WWII, vietnam movies for example, but overall is tough.

Probably my faves are Patton, A Bridge Too Far, and SPR I look forward to newer movies that might be in line as the tech has advanced to a great point and people are more and more trying to tell realistic stories with lots of first-hand research.
