Here is a picture of my Lee-Enfields.

those are pretty,
Mine is clearly a three way tie. sorry. M1A, FN-FAL, AK |
Whew! That's a tough one. Like asking who's your favorite son.
FAL/M1A/Bushmaster/MM96, not necessarily in that order. Hmmmm. Depends on your mood and how they're acting at any given point in time. The M96 is my newest and definitely growing on me. |
I have a sportsterized Longbranch #4mk1 and a .308 variant of a #5 jungle carbine that they called a #7. Looks like your #5 except for the magazine which is almost square.
Longrange,
Is that "#7" a Gibbs creation? Those were never actually produced for the military (not including a handfull made by Australia for trials). go here http://www.gunandknife.com/cgi-bin/boards/enfconfig.pl for tons of great Lee-Enfield info. Cheers, Chris |
FAL---BM59---M14---FAL---M1 Garand---M82A1---and maybe my FAL's...
Hold it... Gotta add the SVT40, the AG42B and the Hakims...like shootin those too!
Browning A-Bolt II in 300 Win Mag. with black synthetic stock.
Chris :
It's a Isapore 2A1 thats been modified, it sure is nice I only paid $150 for it and the wood and finish are great and where else could I get a fine quality .308 rifle so cheap.[:D] |
I also own a Gibbs/Ishapore 2A in .308 and I have to admit it's one of my favorite bolt rifles. Paid $175 for mine and well worth the money!
I've also got a 2A1 that I bought about a year ago for $120 [:)], and it was my favorite untill I got my .308 M1 Garand, now thats my favorite.
Longrange, I agree that they are nice rifles... It's just that I have seen people buy them thinking they have a rare rifle, when they in fact have a $150.00 shooter. Cheers, Chris |

Chris:
I wasn't under the impression that it was a collectable when I got it. I saw it in a shotgun news and asked a buddy of mine who had a FFL if he had seen one, he said no, but he would order a few at that price ($125.00) and that he didn't think that he would have any problem selling them. He ordered 3, and I took the first one as soon as I got a good look at it. He kept one for himself and a common friend of ours took the third. I have another friend that owns the finest looking MK5 carbine I have ever seen anywhere. When I saw his I wanted one so bad I could taste it. I knew that his was at least worth $500.00. I knew that for the price that I paid for mine it wasn't going to be a collectors piece. You might find a deal like that from some individual that didn't know what they had, but not from some dealer or importer.[smoke] |

Actually I still like my Dasie red rider BB Gun which I received at age 8 canr believe it still works. Was plinking outside the other day with it.
Winchester 1886 , in 45-90 manufactured in 1891 for rifle .
Toss-up between colt 1873 in 45 colt or colt 1911 in 45acp. in the pistol. for shotgun its the old 1897 riot. |
AK47 no doubt about it. If I cant have my AR's it's be an AK.
jneal |
No question. M1A in 308! Waiting on a FAL to arrive, but accuracy is still with the M1A.
As for assault rifles, it would be my Daewoo K2.
As for just plain "cool", it would be my father's M1941 Johnson Automatic Ross |
I like my Mini 14,[:I] but we'll see when I get a new AR 180.
Flame away. (gulp) |

For me it would probably either be an AK or a M1 Garand. Then again, maybe my Fal or M14 or Ruger 10/22 doh
I got a savage 110c 30-06 I got for Christmas in the 80's.
MOA at 100yrds. I love it even more than my M14. |
FN-FAL
Heavy, reliable and accurate. It's just fun to shoot. I can't wait to build a new one, carbine style. |
WTFs happening here, is this (2nd) page being displayed all askew to anyone else?
Winchester M1 Carbine.
Damn thing is almost 60 years old and it still shoots great. |
If I had an AK, I would think that I'd like it alot. Besides my AR15, I also like my Mini-14 Ranch.
I like my Remington 700PSS LTR.
Would like to get the following: 1. M1 Garand circa WWII 2. K98 circa WWII 3. M1A1 w/ the pre-ban flashhider and not the dorky muzzlebrake with holes in it. 4. Glock 19 5. 1911 circa WWII 6. BYF P38 circa WWII 7. AK47 Will probably never get the pre-ban / SB23 banned stuff unless I move out of Kali. |
