I'm trying to narrow down what my next piece should be for my collection. I'm not sure if I want another shooter or a wall hanger.

Here's what I've got:

Marlin .22 magnum
Browning .22 take down rifle, belgum made
Oly M4orgery
Steyr FAL
8mm mauser, under 2000 serial number
Browning .338 BAR Boss, belgum made
JC Higgins 12 gu. with the coolest muzzle break
Browning 12 gu. BPS
Browning 12 gu. 3.5" Shadow grass stalker
Fromer stop 1912 .32 acp
ruger p89 9mm
browning BDM 9mm
HK USP-45f

my wifes collection:
ruger 10/22
winchester 20 gu.
Browning 12 gu. satin finish commerative
bushy v-match pre-ban/leupold tactical
Mak-90 preban
Bersa .380
Beretta 92 compact custom carry 9mm
Beretta tomcat inox .32 acp

I'm thinking a luger or p-38 pistol. Or an m1 garand. Any others I should be looking for??

thanks

Of the few you mentioned, I'd have to say Garand

Get a 20 inch carry handle
upper, shoot in a CMP match, then get a Garand.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm open to any sugestions.
It lookes like Thisisme needs to back to school and reread my origonal post. An M4 and a bushmaster v-match are both specifiec types of ar15's.[:D]
Gardenweasel, I really like that idea, I just need to find out if there is anything like that around here.
I'm headed for the gunshow this weekend and am not sure what to look for, maybe some impulse buying is in order.LOL

Oops! you don't actually have to shoot in a match
if you want a Garand from them.

This is the list of criteria or exemptions.

• Proof of CMP or Military Distinguished Rifleman/Marksman or Distinguished Pistol Shot status
• Current Instructor or Coach Certification for Rifle or Pistol.
• A dated NRA or USA Shooting classification card, temporary score record book, or match bulletin showing
that you have fired at least 50 shots in an NRA, CMP or USA Shooting sanctioned rifle or pistol competition
within the past 5 years.
• A letter from a CMP-affiliated organization official confirming that you have fired at least 50 shots in an
instructional clinic or annual record fire within the past 5 years.
• Proof of firing at least 50 shots in a silhouette shooting competition within the past 5 years.
• A certificate of completion of the rifle or pistol Small Arms Firing School at Camp Perry, Ohio within the last
five years.
• Proof that you competed in any CMP-sanctioned John C. Garand Match within the past 5 years.
• A current military identification card (copy both sides) showing status in an active or reserve or retired
component of the U.S. armed forces.
• Proof of honorable discharge from the U.S. armed services.
• Credentials showing that you are a full-time, part-time, retired or reserve law enforcement officer in a
department or agency of federal, state or local government.
• Proof that you are 60 years of age or older

You've got a Bushie and and Oly. Time for an [green]Armalite[/green]. An AR10 would be good also.

Then you need an M-16 with a beta-c.

Thanks for all the replies guys. The .50 is def. on the list of "must haves"

I went to the gun show on saturday just to look and get a feel. I ended up falling in love with the ugliest MAS 49-56 rechambered in .308.

Yeah, I gotta agree with the other guys on the .357 revolver...
This is a GLARING omission in the collection!
I recommend a Ruger GP-100 6" full-lug with adjustable sights.  Blue or Stainless, your call.  This is simply the toughest .357 you can buy, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg, either.  You GOTTA HAVE a .357!  Besides, it'll be at the gunshow somewhere.
Nice collection, though, idaho-ar15!  I especially favor the Beretta/Bushmaster/Browning mix, with the bit of Ruger thrown in for spice...and that .338 BAR, ooh-la-la!!!
Have fun at the show.

I feel for you. I have these SAME issues. Only problem is, when I am gettin all lined up for one thing, along comes something else.

The .50BMG, Thompson .45, M1, and a 44 mag. are on the list, not in any order.
