Besides a 22, is there any semi auto belt fed guns?  Isn't the 1919?

What are some cheaper options out there?

If they made semi-auto minimis and M60s, I would SO save my cash for them.

Buy a M11/9 now.  Prices are prob. gonna skyrocket in the near future b/c there is a 7.62 beltfed upper in the works as well as a rumored .22 beltfed upper.
You can them starting around $2,900.

1919 beltfed is probably the cheapest to purchase. Probably cheaper, if you do it as a build project.

Enlist in the Army as an 11B.  It's so cheap, they pay you to use it!!!  Even the ammo's free!!!!

Either that or a Shrike.

You just need a good parts kit from www.angolaarmory.com, add approximately $275 for the modified trigger mechanism and bolt, about 6 hours TIG welding the demil receiver with mods, grind the welds, blue and parkerize.....off to the range you go!
