Or truck or bike, whatever.

I saw one of my old cars today and it reminded me of driving it across Eastern Washington. Miles of desert wasteland and straight roads. Speedometer topped out at 85 MPH but the needle kept on winding up.

I had this old Honda Prelude (not mine!) going 115. That was all she had, captain.

I never had a fast car, now it's trucks and Jeeps so my go fast days are over.

Got my 1998 Escort up to 110 mph once. Surprisingly, it handled decently at such a high speed. I'd never do it again though.

Too scared to look at the speedo for longer than a split second.

I've been 130mph before in two vehicles; 1994 Mustang GT 5sp/302, and a 1997 Cadillac Deville Concours (Sport) w/ the Northstar.

Runner up was 120mph in my '97 Neon, 3sp/2.0

I dunno how fast I've run my truck before, speedo only goes to 100, but I had that speedo pinned during a trip to emergency, when my fiancee stopped breathing in the middle of the night. Yes, that was a stressful evening. I also ran a dozen red lights, cut plenty of people off, and bullied other people out of my way.

120 in my Z3, cuts out at 124 though.

Got my Dodge Status to go 160 once which max out the speedometer. My father follow in a Pontiac which maxed out to 160 and stayed with me.

Those GPS units are not even close to accurate.

I have a pic of my GPS unit that says I went 178mph in my pickup truck.

Edit to add the evidence.
No fucking way my truck goes this fast.

Based solely on the dash. 110 Dodge 4x4 truck (also found out that you could not set the cruise control above 100), 125 bike, 145 in an Iroc (beat the rev limiter by catching some air on top of a hill - got the 145 on the backside).

mid 90s....too much of a pussy to go any faster considering the roads and the shape the car was in, if I was in the middle of flatland USA i'd push it farther.

although i've been in a trans am that was pushed to its governor (without me behind the wheel.).

That car scares the living fuck out of me! And I have always had fast cars, but nothing compares to this!

Even at that speed it feels like the tires are going to break loose with 75%+ throttle!

(Mine was exactly like this one except it had black stripes)

sustained, about 140 in my old 1987 Sunbird Turbo GT. that's a guess though, since the speedo only went to 125.

burst, so to speak, was 150 in a 2008 Corvette on the entrance ramp to I-75 from Chrysler HQ. slowed down before actually entering the freeway, though. the entrance ramp is basically a long sweeper.
