I don't even want to call her a mother after drowing her five kids. I just read the news release that she is pleading "insanity" and may spend the rest of her days under Texas care. Perhaps not, at least the state of Texas is seeking the death penalty.

I'll tell you, and maybe it's because I'm a Dad, but nothing in this world could make me load a magazine more and take aim than someone who harms a child. You can steal my car and rob my house, but harm my child and I'll be coming after you with all the firepower I've got.

So how do you think this will play out?

I promise I'll post a lighter subject like "squirrel launching" next time.

It's what God is going to do with her that ought to frighten her, but, she's a freakin' lunatic and that thought probably has never crossed her mind.
I cannot fathom what would possess a person to kill their own kids.

Two in the chest, one in the head. Nice and clean.

Not that I don't think that the crime is worthy of the death penalty, but you have to admit that she must have been pretty whacked out to do what she did to her children.

If I sat on the jury, I'd vote for life without parole, unless there was something presented that made me think other than that she is one crazy woman!

Usually, in cases like this, there is some boy friend out there who 'doesn't want any kids' as in the Susan Smith case. Or there is a desire for insurance proceeds, as in the Darlie Routiere case in Rowlett, Texas. Something.

But here, it's a church-going, home-schooling mother who happened to be pregnant and having kids for about seven of the last eight years!

Something happened, but I'm not certain what.

If we had our way fellow Texan's would just tie up a nuce and hang her at sundown in the town square for all to witness. Texas is a death penalty state, of all of the crimes committed here crimes against children should be dealt with like back in the 1800's.
I read in the news paper just yesterday a married couple in Ft.Worth busted for child pornography on the internet, the husband was given life in prison without the chance of parole & the wife was given 14 yrs... ? Why in God's name is the Justice System letting this happen when these petifiles need to be given a lethal injection. Comments ?

If this bitch does not receive the death penalty, then IMHO, it will give validity to all these groups that say the death penalty is baised against minorities.  I cannot recall a more hainess (sp), evil crime than the one this person committed.  The State of Texas should kill her immedatly.  To say she should receive life just dumbfounds me.  She is the only one responsible for this crime.  Ted Bundy was a better person.  He had a higher body count, but they were not his flesh and blood.

1.  Life without parole.

2.  Hysterectomy.

3.  Uncontested divorce for husband.

Public hanging. It's cheaper than a bullet, if done right, it's just as quick, too. But, if it can be proven that she truly is nuts, treatment in a very secure facility for as long as it takes.

Whoa, when I read your post I remembered that there was a rumor going around in Texas just after her arrest that she was pregnant!

Never has been confirmed, but what a wrinkle that would put in this case!

Electric chair, Gas chamber, Lethal injection.

One of the above should do nicely

Execution is  suicide for cowards, small room no one to talk to forever...that is punishment...especially for a woman...LOL sorry ARLady, it was too tempting!

I would pray for her, and the children.  Either she is evil to the core, or a few cards short of a full deck.  In either case, I hope she can find peace with what she has done.
