What would you choose?

What if something occured in the future and the .gov was needing to hand out weapons to the populace and they asked you for your preferance in weapons {any weapon is an option}. They would give you the weapon 10 mags, and 1000 rds ammo for each gun.

You can chose one of each
Rifle or machinegun
Shotgun or subgun
handgun.

What would you choose?

My choice would be M-4, MP-5, and a 1911.

You are most likely going to be limited to whats in gov't inventory. So,think M16A1, M16A2 or M4 varient. They might give M14s to people with experience with them, or an M249 or M240 with a DD214 showing the right MOS. They aren't going to waste limited inventory on people who don't know how to use the equipment they are apssing out.

With that hardware, volunteers will be no problem. Heck, I can even get someone to fly over the targets to spot for me.
