Sir, I believe they will follow a format that mirrors the NRA but does not upset the conservative Democrats. If you follow this stuff, you'll know exactly what I mean.

With some support maybe push for getting rid of 89 Import ban.

The Importban should have a good chance of going away. It would help a few gun companies too, having them throw thier weight with it would help.

Ron Paul sponsored a bill to repeal the sporting restrictions.

I bet Delay could go along with that, Frist too.

Just be looking over your shoulder. The fucking Libs will try to get another one this fall. We must keep up the attack against them. A good offence is better than reacting to them as a defence. Take the fight on our terms and on ground of our choosing. Keep up talking to your Government officials. They are the ones we must get to understand that NOW is the time to attack all the liberal shit out there !!!!LETS GO ON THE OFFENCEIVE!!!!

We should expect nothing else. The NRA has a certain amount of power but it blew its wad on the gun industry act and the AWB sunset.

Too late for that, they'll all follow party line on guns.

lawsuit protection, expansion of concealed carry.

The Republicans will be voting on the repeal of the DC gun ban today in the House - and it already has the votes to pass. The real question is whether they can get it through the Senate.

The Republicans have bet heavily on gun owners this election - in almost all of the open elections the Republican candidates are GOA rated B or better and at least two have come out for a repeal of the 1934 NFA. If we don't deliver the votes in November, I wouldn't expect much help from the Republicans in repealing gun laws (not that they can do much anyway unless we get some guys elected who can overcome the Dem+RINO anti-gun coalition in the Senate).

"Besides lawsuit preemption."
Nothing on the horizon for a couple of years.

Can we savor the AWB sunset for a couple of hours before we move on to the next cause.
Just give it a little time, it'll be years before we roll back any more laws.

I think it is time for me to join the NRA.
Link Posted: 9/13/2004 5:53:51 AM EST
Whatever they think we want and will get them votes.

Now that support for gun control is revealed to be largely non existant.

Who cares??

Promises are empty, and ONLY serve to energize and telegraph our next more to the antis.

I'd rather they sneak more gun freedoms thru Congress under darkness of nite.

I'm about results.

SCREW rhetoric and promises.

Also there is going to be furious attempts to get uber-bans attached to anything they can. They are going the campaign issue route now so expect them to rub salt in the wound at any oppertunity. Based on my experiance the vast majority of the public is eating this full-auto shit the media is selling and asking for seconds. Don't let 'em hit us in the head from behind NRA.

I don't expect much. Letting a previous law expire, and actively restoring the Second Ammendment are two different things. I don't think the Bush Administration is going to do anything else.
