CZ-75 B
Now onto my second, Magnum Research "Baby Eagle" because Spike uses it |

Walther P22 if you mean paid for by myself... my mom had to buy it for me because I was too young at the time.
The first one I bought on my own was a GLOCK 22, but I bought that private party. I still haven't bought one from a dealer on my own though... but that will change soon (GLOCK 27 coming soon). |

The week after I turned 18 I got a Ruger 10/22. Black synthetic stock and stainless steel barrel, This was back in the early 90's. I even got a 25 round magazine from wal-mart for it.
Ended up selling the barrel, getting a VQ carbon one, VQ trigger/extractor, bolt buffer, chamfered the bolt, new stock, 4.5.14.40 scope. It'll shoot quarters at 50 yards with walmart ammo. |

S&W 645, previously a duty weapon, and 6 mags. $350.00. I still have it. It eats everything I feed it, unlike my SA Springfield.

I recently traded it for a Springfield USGI 1911A1 |

Bayard Model 1908 in 9mm Kurtz. Similar to this one except mine has single screw grips. Interesting little pocket gun. Still have mine, just no pics.
And a link to the Bayard 1908 page: members.aol.com/bayard1908/ |

A Llama .357 with a 6" barrell. I had to buy it when I went to work for Purolator Armored Trucks. Some shithead neighbor stole it from my apartment about two years later. I couldn't prove it, but it sure as heck was him.

When most people turn 21 they get all excited about being able to go to bars or buy beer. For me I was excited to be able to buy a handgun and get a carry permit.
I wanted a 1911 but I couldn’t afford a Colt back then and besides I would have to pay extra to have a gunsmith tune it up. This was before the days of the .40, besides I wasn’t professional enough. So that left a 9mm as the only real choice. The Berettas were too expensive and besides I wanted a frame mounted safety. So I bought a Taurus PT-99AF. Best $350 (or so) I ever spent… Well not counting that mint Enfield, or my GP-100, or that SA 1911 I bought a month or so back for $350, or that $350 I spent in that one strip club…. Anyway, it’s been a real good pistol, I’ve still got it eighteen years later. And even though I’ve carried it quite a bit the finish (blued) still looks nearly new. |

I bought a S&W 686 stainless .357 Mag with a 4" bbl when I turned 21. It is still my favorite handgun after all these years.

|
Similer story, except my private party centerfire was a Sig P228 (Actually just got it yesterday). |
|
|
A Browning hi-power practical. I haven't been 21 for long and to be honest I feel kind of bad about spending so much on a handgun.
|
|
Stainless Ruger Single Six, .22lr/.22mag.
Times got tough and I sold it about 10 years ago. I've thought many times of replacing it, but there always seems to be somehting else on the top of my "must have" list. |
|
Beretta 92FS. Bought it from my squad leader. I lived in the barracks ath the time. Kept it in the barracks for a while, then some NCIS guys almost found it when they were searching through my room because my idiot roommate started a fire. Sold it about a week later.
|
|
S&W Mod. 629 .44 Mag 8 3/8" barrel
Killed my first deer with it and still have it but she hasnt been shot in years since I bought my Sig P220. LB |
