I have this Snickers bar next to me and it says nougat, caramel, and roasted peanuts.  What is nougat?, besides sugar, and why did they call it nougat?, there has to be a better name for it.  And yes, I'm pretty bored.

I've wondered the same thing many times myself. I think it's some kind of dairy-based nut paste whipped into a foam.

"Nougat is made by mixing a hot sugar syrup with whipped egg whites until the solution cools and stiffens, creating a frappe. Other ingredients may be added to the nougat during this process to give it different flavors..."

Thanks man, one of lifes greatest mysteries solved.  I was sorta being half sarcastic with the question, but now that I know, I'm glad I asked.

Nouga is a distant cousin of the elusive Nauga.  I've been to many different zoos around the country and they all have several subspecies of nouga in them, mostly they keep them behind the snack bars.  But I have never seen a nauga on the hoof, well I think they have hooves anyway.  But from the lack of panels needed to cover the corner sectional sleeper with dual recliners and built in massage and beverage cooler, here in the doublewide splendor of my home, they look to be damn near the size of a Wooly Mammoth!
