What should I buy at the upcoming gunshow?
Link Posted: 1/23/2008 7:37:33 AM EST
Chamber and Bore brushes.
Link Posted: 1/23/2008 7:39:34 AM EST
Sorry guys, I forgot the pie option.
Link Posted: 1/23/2008 7:41:22 AM EST
Jerky and beanie babies.
Link Posted: 1/23/2008 7:41:58 AM EST
Something for me. I am in need of more .303 Brotish ammo. Thanks for asking.
Link Posted: 1/23/2008 7:44:01 AM EST
Ammunition.

Without ammo, you just have expensive clubs. You know you have enough ammo when you have to re-enforce the floor beams to support your ammo locker.

If you already have the ammo, I voted for the Sig.

2 Stripped Lowers.

How long have you been a member here?

Buy both!

Or in this case, ALL THREE!!!

For the price of the sig, couldn't you buy about 5 lowers?
Link Posted: 1/23/2008 7:55:22 AM EST
I am pretty good on ammo for now. Oh, how could I forget.... I must have all three things.

the handgun is more useful, something you would take with you for defense

the two stripped lowers will require spending alot more money to build two more rifles, something that will just sit unused

AR receivers dont wear out, it's not necessary to have too many

True, but I was thinking about the lowers since they might be banned soon. Now you are starting to see my dilemma.

ETA opinion

I'd go with 1 lower and try to find a used Sig
Link Posted: 1/23/2008 8:05:35 AM EST
With the two options I would go with the lowers.

living in California and experiencing many bans and restrictions, I would never invest money on something that has a high chance on getting banned, it's a waste of money

once it gets banned it becomes useless, you cant sell it, you cant use it, you must register it, etc

every time you take it out you have to worry about being questioned by the police, etc

thats why I would not waste money on something that is going to be banned, because you wont be using it.

Get one of those shoulder things that go up. I hear they are on the impending ban list.

Maybe someone can help me out. I thought that as long as you own the lower before the ban, then the ban doesn't apply to you. Is this correct, or is the last sentence full of fail?
Link Posted: 1/23/2008 8:22:38 AM EST

Get a couple lowers and a case of ammo.

Wouldn't that be about the same price as the Sig?

I can get a factory certified "refurbished" Sig 229 for $549

If you have any csratch left get "Real" NAZI WW2 stuff or Kluxer items because they will become highly prized collectables as time goes by !

Depends on the ban. They might try an outright ban. They might require registration of existing, and ban any new ones. They might just ban new mfr for peons like the last one. Nobody knows what the bad would be like until it is close to happening.

don't forget the turquoise and Nazi memorabilia. What trip would be complete with out coming out with a sweet armful of all that shit.

Anything else they sell at a gunshow is overpriced crap that you can get online for substantially cheaper. There are the occasional deals, but the price of admission almost guarantees to offset any bargains you could have found.

I would buy one of those swords with 15 different honed sections and the cast dragon handle, or maybe two of them. You never know when decorative inported dragon theme dull knives may be banned.

Between the 2 I say stripped lowers.

I hear they are a fine anti-zombie back-up weapon.
