Went to Cabelas and Sportsmans - Place looked like a grocery store after a hurricane.  I cannot find "military caliber"  ammo anywhere. Going to the gunshow this weekend to get screwed.

Anyone reccomend a good butt lube?

The simple solution is to not buy ammo right now.

... Shit has gotten so expensive that I'm reluctant to even shoot .22 LR

I've got some, but feel that I need more with the current situation.  I was at a show a week ago and overheard someone say "people aren't spending $3000 for EBR's just to give them back to the govt"

Thought that was an interesting insight

about 8 boxes of 5.56 and .223 at my lgs selling for a $1+ a round. They have been there for a while too, so I was glad to see everyone in my area was saying no to that price.

$.80/rd .223 at the LGS whose prices are always retarded. Unfortunately they have employees buy out the local Walmart and they resell it at a much higher price.

About 2 1/2 weeks ago I bought 2 100 Round Box's of Federal 223 at Wal-Mart for $35,and then it's been gone ever since. Then a little over a Week ago my LGS had PMC X-Tac 55gr for $22 a Box.I haven't been back there. And W-M hasn't had anything that I've found, but it could get sold as quick as they get it.

I just cleaned about 5 k .223 brass, only to realize I have about 600 small rifle primers, and none can be found anywhere.

and I still have several large containers of brass to sort through and clean.

the good news is I have plenty of brass

the bad news is I'm short on the components required to make them go bang.
