Tie a string around it tight. Capital punishment can work for skin tags.

Rusty spoon sharpened on concrete

Serious answer: ice it down to numb the area and clip it off with a pair of really sharp scissors.

Sounds painful.  Is general anesthesia recommended?  I got a handle of Jack in the back of the cabinet...

This is easiest (IMO).  Tie a small string around it tightly, clip the ends and forget about it.  It will fall off like any other appendage after a few days without blood.

Tie a piece of dental floss tightly around it as close to your body as you can get. In a few days it will dry up and fall off.

compound w freeze away!

it works great, painless...

tiny sting when you freeze it but not bad and it goes away in seconds.

over the next week it will darken and dry up

I had a doctor cut a bunch off with a shitty pair of scissors once. I couldn't reach them myself.

It was not a good day.

Go buy a NEW pair of fingernail clippers...

Do NOT use an old pair. Fingernails are just about the nastiest part of your body.

Sterilize new fingernail clippers. (New means clean and sharp)

Hold an ice cube against the tag and area you're going to remove it from until it goes numb and the blood recedes from it because of the cold.

Clip tag off...

Have styptic powder (not pencil) ready when it starts bleeding. Readily available from most old timey drug store and vet med supply houses. Dog groomers use it to stop bleeding when they're clipping dog's toenails. It's like Quik-Clot

I'm getting old and get them from time to time...and I'm never paying an MD $200 for doing it again unless it's that one that was on my eye lid.

Isolate it with some kind of tubular object like a piece of a drinking straw, hold a can of canned are upside down and dispense into the straw and freeze it.  It will fall off cleanly by itself in a few days.

That's essentially what a dermatologist would do.

Had one on my knee that's now gone for good.

Last time I went to the doctor to get some removed he told me cuticle scissors were the best tool for the job.  I've proven he was right several times since then.

My girlfriend is an esthetician doing professional skin care.  She says you should look into something called vascu-touch.  Says they'll grow back if you clip them off.

I'd probably use clippers or a razor.

Just got back from the drugstore with a box of wart freeze-off & a 12-pack of Bud.  Cashier lady was looking at me.

Gonna lubber up, tie some dental floss on it, the freeze it.

Apple cider vinegar, paper towel and a bandaid.

Fold up a small piece of paper towel into a square about 1/8" thick and same size as coushioned part of bandaid. Soak paper towel in vinegar, place over skin tag and cover with bandaid.. it will turn black and fall off in about a day.
