Looking for a lightly used one, 9mm, subcompact, nickle/stainless slide.  Would love to find one with the light and tritium sights, but can add those later myself.

What is a decent price for a lightly used XD-9 subcompact with the nickle slide?

I just paid 400 for one. Not the nickle though. Parked and gunkoated, 2 10 round mags and a full cap mag and a bladetek IWB holster...

I like it very much.

Thanks, guys - will have to shop around here, maybe I can find a lightly used one at a gunshow.

I wonder if I should go with the bitone, as it will be my carry gun in FL - I've heard that the parked slide doesn't hold up too well under lots of use.

Pang1179 has one (actually, its his bride's) and this thing is amazingly accurate for a 3 " barrel.

If I had the time, money, room, etc, i would get one.

A 9mm???  That may be good protection against Somalian "skinnies", but seems a bit light for the average-sized target.  How about a .40?

I agree.  Got the 40 sub, and had the slide done in DuraCoat matte black with trijicon front.  Nice weapons.

Christ, guys, let's not get into the 9mm vs. .40 debate here.  I prefer 9mm for various reasons and do not like the .40 cal.  I'm getting the XD-9 subcompact.

It's worth it to get the Heinie Night Sights.  Heinie's just have a much better sight picture and the tritium capsules are also nice for carry.  Also canyon creek custom does an awesome carry trigger job for XD's.  Rich sets the trigger to 4lbs but the pre-travel is so short and it breaks really crisp.  It also resets much shorter probably about as short as a glock.

Get the 40 sub and you can get the conversion barrel and shoot 9mm or 357sig using the same gun and mags -the 9mm cannot be converted "up" due to the size of the barrel port in the front of the slide --300-400 tops
