Well, I dug up my foundation and waterproofed it.

I covered any large holes/ deteriorated mortar in with mastic.

Then I primed the walls and put on envirosheet and put in the drainboard.  Plus I put in drain tile surronded by stone and filter fabric.

Here's where an old water pipe came out.

Anyone have an idea as to why there is 1/4" hole drilled right below the dirt line every couple of feet?

The small holes were probably for the termite spray.  Mine has that and that's what it is for.

eta I plumbed the gas line and exaust hose for a clothes dryer at my daughters house.  And yes, I was packing.

My son's go-kart was too short, so I had taken it to a welding shop to have it lengthened.  When we got it back, my son (10) and I painted it, put a new engine on it, I swapped the drive tire with the other side (more worn), and put some new cables on it.  Then I rebuilt the carb for the other go-kart.  Then we went riding.
Manly thing?  Gettin' all dirty and greasy in an engine and riding it afterward.  Best part?  The shit-eating grin on my son's face knowing he had a major part in getting it all working.

Removed and cleaned the intercooler on my diesel.  It had about a half-quart of nasty, dirty oil in the bottom.  Dirty mess.

Unfortunately, in the process I broke the drain valve on the fuel filter.  $40 to replace but it now has a new filter, after only 25k miles.

Sniper shoot at the Club I belong to, lots of police snipers, fun to be had by the cubic ton! Running, crawling, and of course precision shooting. Shot at balloons inside cars, electric running man targets, golfballs on vertical pipes, clay pigeons behind hostage targets simulating bad guys, shot prone with weak eye and hand, strong hand and eye considered wounded and un-useable.

You bet, plenty manly and plenty fun.

Dram out

Its cool though, i'm gonna get to meet his son tommorow. We're setting up a college fund for him every job we do we're gonna set aside $25 to put in his fund. I'm gonna continue it  when I join the military and while i'm in until he turns 18. (hes 1 now)

Saturday Morning I cleared an 8X20 foot backyard of weeds. One of my coworkers is a single mother with a broken wrist (result of an auto collision) and she had neglected her back yard for several months (apartment=small yard). Her 5yo daughter's BDay is coming up, so I offered to do the dirty work for her. Took about three hours and twenty large hefty bags.

Saturday afternoon from 3:30 pm until 11 pm I took my family to the LA County Fair. Yeah, I was tired as hell.

Sunday I did my yard and spent thirty minutes teaching my 11 yo son heavy bag technique.

I did Daddy stuff...

Rode along without screaming or panicing while my daughter put in 23 miles on the road (learning to drive).  I just smiled and chatted.

Taught her to shoot her Mom's revolver and my 9mm auto.

Fixed the toilet fill valve my wife has been complaining about.

Took the wife out on Fri, had the kids over at the Grandparents, had a Good Night.

Got the winter fertilizer put out, the wife dug up a flower bed & we mulched it.  Took the kids to a church function.

Slept for 4 hours Sun after church and then went to work at 7pm for my first day at my new job.  7 days a week, 1900-0700 in a command facility.

Won't see much of the family for over a month, but this job ends on the 31st and hopefully I can get back to doing what I was doing before (0730-1500) 5 days a week.  I will not have another day off until . . . hell I just checked the schedule and my next day off is when I go to drill . . . for three days . . . I know I will get Sunday night off . . . but only because I will be useless after drill.  Don't know if I will get any time off the rest of the month.

Hot bloody reeking hell . . . gonna be a long night.
