'00 Cavalier '99 Silverado '90 LEO Chevrolet Caprice (now civilian ) I wasn't completely sure what 'new' encompasses, so I voted used on all. |
I don't have a small wee wee.
No need to make up for a shorty with a sports car or big SUV. |
Old clunkers, in good shape.. Mine is an 88 Fs diesel Blazer, full of Bondo fof the rust Thei Princess drives a 93 Jeep Cherokee which is in very nice shape. I'd rather spend my money on the house and guns instead of cars that lose value daily. Ops

Translation = POS. j/k |

'94 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4, 4dr with 98k on the odometer, I counted it as "older". I just spent all yesterday (holiday) figuring out wtf was up with the 4x4 system and why it didnt engage on my last trip to the range.

'01 Accord (wife, works nights. Bought used with 43k in August)
'94 Accord (my commuter car) '83 CJ-7 (my every day vehicle) '71 Ford Ranger (beater soon to be restored truck) |
That's fine. How about reliability? |
2004 GMC Envoy
2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 2002 Corvette (I would consider them all "new") |
Did you ever consider some folks just LIKE a sports car or NEED an SUV? It ain't all about your penis. Grow up. |

My car runs on rice. It's a 98 Civic. I'm looking into getting new wheels sometime in the middle of next year.

22" mag?? |

1993 Nissan Sentra with 168k miles. She ain't pretty, but she runs, and gets 30+ MPG.
2003 Nissan Xterra SE-SC...can't wait to finish paying this off.
1989 chevy s10...rusted completely out, dented and about as clapped out as it can be.
i paid $500 for it over 7 years ago and it's been the best vehicle i've ever owned. |
My newest car is six years old. Daily drivers are a lousy place to put money. Now my mustang on the other hand....
86 Dodge Ram p/u with 144,000
87 Mitsu Montero 4x4 79 Jeep Wagoneer being rebuilt for when society collapses; I can roam the desert highways in search of the juice The two daily drivers above cost me about 500.00 a year to run including registration and insurance. I would also drive them anywhere. The Montero has been all over the southwest; through snow, blazing desert, rain, small rivers, navigating through mtn trails, etc. My wife drives a newer car. i'd rather invest my money in houses, guns and the market. Been saving 300-500 a month for the last 15 years. I almost bought a Toyo Tacoma 4x4 recently. That'll probably be my next car. |
I buy used and pay cash. 95 Firebird, 70,000 miles, 4 grand two years ago.
Hey Campy! Can we put it on the firing line for Bulletfest VI? |
'99 Honda CRV with 98,000 mi. bought used 3 years ago with 30,00 on it, and recently a '02 Jeep Liberty with 24,253 mi. to replace '96 Jeep Cherokee that had 150,000 miles and needed work, cost of which exceeded it's worth, got more for it on trade. I plan on keeping the Liberty until it too is worn out.... So far, I like the Liberty, much better ride than the older Cherokee....

All my cars, post divorce, have been older ones.
Ones that have been purchased for cash. Those are the very best vehicles. The ones that you own and have no payments. Eric The(Miserly)Hun |

Ya know, that attitude is getting really old. For many people their car is a toy, the same way that for many people a firearm does double duty as self-defense and a "toy". There's also people out there that can easily afford to walk into a dealership and plop down their $80k on the barrel head and say "I'll take the red one". Is that me? no. Is that you? I have no idea. But remember that money is relative. If we all went through life not owning a single nice thing, with everything just being utilitarian and a tool, life would be pretty goddamn boring. |

+1 Cars, no vehicles are my passion. I like a nice car or truck, and I don't mind spending my money on them. So maney cars, so little time! |
Paid for ones.
If I can't pay for it one the one payment plan, it's not for me. |

"Every car on the road is a used car..."

What level car? 1/8 bubble off plumb, unless there are 4 cases of beer in the trunk. Then, completely level.

2001
It supposedly has a 6-cylinder engine. 4WD is nice from time to time. 1993 Buick Skylark ~103,000 I'd love to swap engines between these two - the Buick's engine has some power. |
'03 Toyota Tacoma, ext cab, V6, 4x4, TRD
'92 Chevy 1-Ton Van, 5.7, Flowmaster, 212k and still running strong '78 GMC Jimmy K5 4x4 until recently, had to sell it . |
TRANSLATION 1 I can't afford one 2 Wife/GF/Mommy won't let me have one. |
I buy new ones and then run them forever.
Both of them are old ones now. In a couple of years I'll buy a new one. Maybe sell off both of the existing ones and just have one for awhile. |
I love the late 80's, current car is a '88 Lincoln Town Car, last one was an '89 Cadillac Brougham and before that an '88 Chevy Celebrity. They all kinda look similar and are the same color, weird.
