It's a kit.
It has some styling queues from the F1, GT40 and Saleen.
Kind of a bastard son of all three.

Not even close. It's a Factory Five GTM, like someone else said. It's a kit car that uses C5 Corvette suspension, mid mounted GM LS engine, and a Porsche transaxle.

I still prefer the NSX. UNLIKE a Ferrari, it can also be a daily driver and the A/C works, and you can afford to own it. Other than the engine, the accessories include a lot of off the shelf Acura parts. The instrument panel looks like an Accord, perhaps, but touching the gas leaves your eyeballs and stomach behind as it launches. They're fun.

I always liked the NSX. I see them around here from time to time, they always turn my head. They are cool cars, but I've never been interested in owning one. A 3000lbs car with less than 300hp and about 220tq just wouldn't hold my interest very long.

Honda/Acura is capable of making some nice performance cars, like the NSX and S2000. But the engines they always put in them are just severely lacking when compared to other cars in the price range. I'm curious to see what they put in the next generation NSX in a couple years.
