That scene in T2 where she hade the nightmare of the apocolypse and she woke up on the picnic table? A fighting knife is clearly visible...and I think you can make out the logo stamped into the blade.

If anyone has access to that movie, just let me know what kind of knife it is, please.

Also...what did she carve into the table top? Something about "fate"?

The knife was a SOG.  She carved "No Fate" into the table.  The knife is an older SOG knife, I don't know if they are made anymore.

I believe she wrote 'no fate' on the table, and I have no idea what kind of knife it was.

I thought it was a SOG Bowie.  They have been around since the Vietnam era.

Yup, that's it Fox.  I wanted to say Bowie, but that seemed too generic.

Actually,  I think it was the bayonet for that rifle Al Pacino used in "Heat"....but I can't remember what it was either.....[BD]

If I was home I could do a still capture of that scene and save as a jpg. It's nice having a DVD player and accompanying software on my computer. If you do want some still caps let me know and I'll do them when I get home tonight. BTW, I also have Heat on DVD and can do the same with it.

It's the original Vietnam Green Beret SOG Bowie.
It has 5th Special Forces Group, Vietnam and the De Oppresso Liber crest on it.

Nice piece.

I thought the Recondo knife was a Gerber Mark II
