I am looking for the ultimate combination.

Isn't this suppose to go the other way? Isn't this going the other way? Where one selects the food then the drink?
That said, hmmmm, fav food with beer? Well, people chastised me before for having scotch with pizza, so I suppose the favorite food with beer is pizza. __________________________________________________ ("I may not know which wines go with fish but ....," Red Grant talking down to Bond, (w,stte), "From Russia with Love") |

Something not too greasy, but at the same time, not too dry.
Cream cheese pinwheels are great. Coconut shrimp is good too. |
Which variety do you like? Wikipedia lists about 20. |
Hamburgers and beer is a great combination, especially if the beer is relatively dark, like certain varieties of Lager. Foods like hotdogs and sausage work really well with beer, as does steak. Whiskey works well with beef products too.

Dove wraps
Bambi wraps Slow smoked pork spare ribs Beef fajitas Tortilla chips & homemade salsa Hell, damn near any meat that can be smoked or grilled, no sweets or dairy based products unless it's queso or a meat dish with cheese. |

Shanghai. I prefer beef over pork though. My wife is a stay at home mom, but she has a full time job selling Filipino food from the house. Her biggest sellers are: Sio Pao (beef, pork & chicken), Empanada (beef & chicken), Lumpiang Shanghai, Pancit (bihon & cantoon), and Filipino BBQ on a stick (kinda like a shish-ka-bob but only the meat) (chicken & pork) Damn good food, but I really have to work to keep the weight off |

MMMMMMMmmmmmmm!!!! All of that sounds realllllly good!!!! |
Mmmmm.... Monkey Meat! Skewer the pork, then marinate in 7-up overnight. Baste with ketchup and water. Extra points for using banana ketchup. |

+1 Can't beat a good hot-wing with some blue cheese dressing. As long as you like hot food. |
Nothing. I like my beer all by itself. Once I start eating I switch drinks to water or ice tea.
Beer is food, I cook with beer, use beer instead of water in recipes, by the time the meal is done, I open a bottle of wine (or another beer). People that don't drink beer like it in cooking!
Beer, for those who actually like it, should never be sullied by coming in contact with food of any kind.

That was my dinner tonight along with some pancit.. |

Man get it together.
1/2 lb burger loaded, undercooked, buffalo chip fries, a tall Guiness and a hockey game. Other favorites are the Burritos from the Beaverton Tavern, Burgers from Sanford Lake Bar and Grill, Za from The Cabin Bar or Wings from BW3. If you are in the Mid-Michigan area these are all probably known to you. Used to be a rare steak from Lonestar but they have the best top shelf Long Islands in the area so I usually don't drive when we go there. Joe |
I knew a guy that used to eat fudgecyles & drink beer. |
I don't like to limit myself.
See, Vodka, unlike Beer, goes with EVERYTHING. |
Pizza and Mexican.
I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I can't think of anything else to drink with pizza or beer. Had a girlfriend once who loved beer and chocolate chip cookies. |
Brats, hot wings, burgers. For lounging around watching the game or something, pork rinds and beer = (Turkey Creek has a killer lime and chili flavored skin, sounds weird, but don't knock it 'till you try it. Salt and vinegar flavored is pretty damn good too.)
ETA - The guy talking tortillas has the right idea too. Or chips and salsa. |
Carnitas or carne asada with fresh corn and/or flour tortillas.
I love sweets with a good German Double Bock. Donuts are really good. With a meal I just drink Ice water. |
I thought it was "Titties and Beer" I dig me some jalapeño poppers with brew. |
