I am sick and tired of this stupid 70s hair thing.  It is among school kids and adults.  How can we stop it now?

Get some chlorofrom, a cordless shaver, and a pickup truck, and we can hit the university semi drive by style

I get a kick out of it too. I was in HS in the mid-late 70's, and it's interesting to see the cloths I used to wear come back in style. Although, these low-rise jeans we see today were more popular in the late 60's than mid-late 70's.

Yes.  I've seen that hairstyle many times recently.  I've nicknamed it the "shaggy faggot", pardon my language.

I never understood it.  I graduated HS in 2001, and shaggy had been in for two years then.  I still havent converted;  for one, I can't sleep with all that damned hair.  Its sweaty and itchy.

My hair is a little over 2" long right now on top (I can see my bangs), and its driving me nuts that I can't get it cut till saturday.

We've been through green and purple dyed, spikes, mohawks, and corn rows. I think the 70's look is pretty tame by comparison.

I know exactly what you're talking about, as a matter of fact, I just mentioned that to my girlfriend last Sunday. We where at Oregenos waiting to eat and there where two teenage dicks with that hairstyle, and I told her basically the same thing. I said "I hate that stupid assed 70's hairsyle".

That's weird, posting on a topic that you don't even understand.

You really don't need to pad your post count that bad.

Fuck yeah, now that's definetely where I draw the line.

The 70's bush was the most disgusting thing on the planet.. It should just be made illegal now, before some dipshits try to bring that back too.

*queue music* I'm an EMO KID nonconforming as can be. If you were non conforming too then you'd be just like me...

I think the original poster was referring to the hair style that all these depressed emo kids have now a days.

Goto www.ytmnd.com and search for emo song.

I'm so glad I was a kid when I was a kid. So much better than skin heads with baggy pants hanging off. Our pants were so tight you could tell what religion we were. And our hair was groovy.

I loved the big hair on women from the 80's.

    Amen, brother.

Nowadays, if they don't cut it all off and look like a guy. They have it  hanging straight down and looks like it is plastered to their head.

Women just don't seem to make the effort anymore to look their best. I guess thats why they can't  find any real men anymore....................because there aren't many real women left.

I've noticed those big jackie o sunglasses have become the rage among women too. Styles are cyclic.

The kids I see at the mall don't look like the typical HS year book picture posted. In that picture, he made a half-assed attempt at combing his hair.

In fact, I noticed something while looking through my folk's year books. The guys had semi-long hair for sure, but they insisted on combing it like it was a short haircut. Most of them parted their hair on one side. It was like a boy's haircut - but much longer. Only one of them had a "rock star" vibe to him. It's almost like nobody had the guts (or parental permission perhaps) to grow their hair really long and just let it hang.

The kids I see at the mall today sporting shaggy haircuts are...well...shaggy. They're not really combing their hair. It just lays down equally well in all directions. There is no defined part. It's apparent that a fine toothed comb was not used. Silly as they may be, they look MUCH better than the pictures I keep seeing in 70's year books.

When I was in high school (10 years ago), I had hair halfway down my back. Nowadays, if I can't get my shit together inside of two minutes, it's time for a haircut.

Why the fuck should I care what you think about my hair cut. After I ETSed from the Army I said no one would ever tell me how to wear my hair again. I've had everything from a buzz cut to down to my ass, my choise. ESAD if you don't like it.
