for practical Pistol. I was thinking 9mm because its super cheap.

Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over. |

C-4?
J/K! I would go with a longslide 9mm with a compensator. That's what some of the guys around here use. Balming |
.22lr |
+1 for the 9mm
Shot Placement, Shot Placement, Shot Placement. All handgun rounds are anemic. Rifles and shotguns have a good chance at a one shot stop but no handgun round does. |
+1 Depending on your sexual preference I’d go .45 ACP |
I don't claim to know a lot about Glocks but I would say 9mm.
9mm or .45acp. I have a 19 and a 21 and have had no problems with either.
Wow, I bet that is a mule. |

Wow... 20+ posts, and no one has even mentioned the Glock Foh-ty!
That pretty much sums it up |

After some folks get shot with it I will make my judgement. There have been a lot of incidents of people being shot with a .44Mag and surviving. Untill then I will stand by my opinion. And who the hell wants to carry that beast on there hip 24/7 any ways. |

9mm. I can rock and roll with one in 9mm. I love it. Put 300 rounds through mine at the last shoot. Good stuff |
Should I use a 22lr, because I have a really big weiner? |
Hell, I'm not worried about carrying that thing, I'm worried about SHOOTING that thing. |
I do. |
For all around shooting....9mm
For CCW, .40S&W or .45ACP I carry a G22 and am pretty happy with it. I plan to scoop up a G19 in the very near future as well. |
The guy that wins the Glock official matches around here always does it with a G30 in .45ACP - I have heard from many owners that this seems to be the most accurate caliber Glock for whatever reason.
now using that is like opening the whole can of whoop-ass! |
There are no facts, only interpretations. Friedrich Nietzsche I own two GLOCK 10mm's, but I'll be adopting a 357 SIG model soon. |
it should be noted that 9mm is the only model of glock that has not statistically KBd
I'd say if you don't have a specific purpose in mind stick with 9mm. You can go to a .40 with an upper swap, and ammo is dirt cheap compared with the others. Also, that grip size fits more people than the 10mm/45 frame - not to say that I don't think those guns rock.
I will go out on a limb here & say "Fo-tay".
For Practical pistol you have more options - you can shoot USPSA Limited, Limited 10, or Production. While you can use a 9 in Limited & Lim10, it won't be scored major. The model 35 is more versatile & competetive than the shorter guns. For some reason my models 22 & 35 haven't blown up yet (I've owned the model 22 for 14 years now) in spite of the hive mind opinion. Don't worry about it. |
