I'd like to know what is the best price you have seen for a STG58 and what does it come with?

The one I found was $479 and it comes with 2-20rd mags.

Also where can you get cheap 308 strip clips.

What you got there is a real bargain.

You can get more mags and strip clips from www.tapco.com

Last I tried it, they are temporarily close???

Thats a good deal on a rifle that has all but dried up.  Even STG-58 kits are getting hard to find.  Hopefully it is built on an Imbel receiver.  If it's on a Hesse, maybe not such a good deal.

DSA has Steyr mags for $5.00 and $8.00.  Best game in town on FAL mags.  http://www.dsarms.com/magazines.htm

If it is a CAI with an Imbel get it
You can fix anything on them for $90
Dealer on the DSA STGs is $795 and that is fairly firm.
All combat rifle prices have been coming down.

The rifle is a Steyr STG58 Centurion, 308 cal with Imbel receivers and new barrel .2-20Rd mags,20" barrel, pistol grip stock .Excellent condition. $479.00

Thats what the Ad said in SGN. This is the web site for the company but it does not have the rifle for sale there.

Personally I would spend the extra cash and try to get a DSA stg58 "kit" gun. As said before these run $795 dealers cost and mags are 8 bucks new and 5 bucks used.

I have owned and handled several FALs and the DSA is the cream of the crop as far as the new guns out there. The Imbels are good, but the overall quality of the DSA is far better than any of the other "kit" guns out there.

Like with anything else you get what you pay for. Just my .02

Before you order one go to the gustore, gunshow or whatever and handle as many FALs as you can. Compare the different rifles up close before making a decision. I only say this because I have a good friend who bought and sold four FALs before breaking down and buying the DSA.

IMO it is just that much better.

It will also cost me $400 more to get the DSA and everything I want for the rifle. I don't have the money to shell out $1,018 for a rifle, ammo, scope mount and mags.

I'm still looking in to it to see if there is anyway I might beable to get one because I do want thr DSA but I don't have the money right now.

I understand what you mean. Just trying to help. Go to the for sale forums and check out what was posted there. By the way DSA also makes the scope base out there.

This is the best of times and the worst of times. I just found out that my boss was getting canned now the hospital I work for onlyy has two guys to work a 128 hour work week and it takes 5 days to get a new person trained.

So I'm going to be picking up a lot of OT and the wife told me I could use 2 pay checks to buy the rifle I want and so far it looks like I'll have about $1769.00 to spend on a rifle(Joke on her she thought I was onl going to get a little over time.)

So I will be able to the DSA and have about $699 left over so I might pick up and AR-15 also. Don't know yet have to see the checks.
