I read a post last week from some guy who has four times as many posts as me, and is thinking of buying his first gun.
Post count may indicate how often one posts, but it does not have any bearing on whether or not the poster knows squat. Shut the fuck up? Did you actually say that? |

Actually if you plan on taking the pebble from Eric(The humdinger hun)you will need about 10,000 posts.
Now at one time we had a poster (BOG) who could have done it easy in less than a year. You just have to post something that is so stupid that you will get one Kazillion Bite me posts ,and then just respond to each of them. Gee I'm up to 400 now, guess I will retire now. Bob [8D] |

I will tell you since I posted couple of days ago I hit 1000. It gives me great pleasure to have conversations with people here. It started out just getting ideas of what to build. Then it became a place to learn how to keep my rifle in proper order. I never posted to sites before let alone Join one.
Then it became a place to discuss lots of BS and also things that were important in my life and also the world. Then if became a place for peace of mind and crying about the WTC and what I was going through. At that point it was more than how many posts I had. It was the ability to have people understand what you were going through and support you through VERY Hard times. Then it was a up lift a road trip to the BRC. To get to know all these people who listened to me and gave me advice. The BRC became the extended family. It had nothing to do with posting anymore. Has you stay around you will understand if you don't already. Yes posting shows the amount of attention this site gets. But posting and the #'s you have really mean nothing. A person who posts 2 times a month can give you advice and in site that I who have 1000 post's could never do. Now I post because I have no life and when I am in lots of pain it takes my mind off it. But I did feel like a fool saying WOW I hit 1000. I wasn't going to. Then I said what the heck. Just as long has my posts don't insult or give MISINFORMATION I feel good about it. |

I think I know what you mean.This is a pretty neat place with alot of good people.Infact,since I started posting here I havn't spent much time anywhere else on the net. As far as post counts are concerned,I wasn't just referring to this site.Lots of people on all sorts of other forums celebrate post counts.Just always wondered what the big stink was all about .
