Quoted: I don't get it. They're playing commercials for some flick named "Hostel" that looks like it's going to be a senseless bloodbath. Then you have such wonderful examples of uplifting fare as "The Devil's Rejects". What is it about flicks like this that make people want to see them? Just the commercials are disturbing enough....

That's why restaurants have menus dude!  

Some want fish, others want steak, some want just veggies.

I love horror movies. My bride does too. The Devils Rejects is a sort of continuation of House of a 1000 corpses.  It's senseless, mindless violence with characters of no value to humanity.

Horror movie fans are just choosing something else from the menu.

I, for one, don't like cartoon movies and get annoyed when people say Mike Myers stars in Shrek, along with Eddie Murphy. It's a cartoon, they were not "in" it.

But, like I said, it's another choice on the menu.

I grew up seeing Wolfman, Dracula, The Mummy, Creature from The Black Lagoon etc. and just love the genre.

The best, IMHO and in the opinion of my bride, are those that combine great action and some humor, preferably tongue-in-cheek humor.  They are just fun.

Of course, that's just my opinion.....I could be wrong.
