All in all, I really prefer a corn dominated mashbill.

God bless the good souls that make whiskey in Tennessee. IMHO, it's the finest, worldwide.

As much as I love Bulliet Rye, and I do... Old Overholt is delicious rye whiskey.

Try it.

Fighting Cock whiskey makes me a tad more unruly than the Bulleit

Or Whistle Pig - isn't that a high brow rye?

Redemption Rye is awesome! Same juice as Templeton but without all the bullshit marketing hype.

Crown Royal Rye is great also.

Bulleit sucks in my opinion

Old Overholt is a good budget rye, same juice as Jim Beam Rye and only 80 proof.

The thing I like about it is it actually has a good rye bread finish. Best rye bread taste from a bottle that I've had. Very tasty.

Last weekend I gave JD Single Barrel Rye a try, and I can attest, at 94 proof, it packs a quick and silent punch.  Not quite as spicy as a traditional Kentucky Rye, but robust and beautifully smooth nonetheless.
