You're a cool dude Aiden, but if someone wants to drop off the sight for a while, give them their privacy.

So, are you bored with retirement yet ?

Just wondering what's up with him, he was a great poster here.

It's good to be done with the .mil...that's for sure. I'm trying to decide what to go back to school for...leaning toward fish cop, seems like it would be fun...be outdoors a lot.

My old man was a warden for 25 years.  Ended up working undercover a lot as an investigator.  Busting big polluters and commercial poachers, he enjoyed the work but says the bureaucracy sucked dicks.

I spent 21 years in the .mil...I'm used to the bureaucracy.

ETA:  If it's like the .mil, maybe I should reconsider.  I got sick of the PC push and constant death by power point shit.  Also got sick of all the suicide briefings, and sexual assault briefs every other week.

IIRC, just taking a break and concentrating on himself for personal reasons.  I looked him up on here the other day and seemed like his last login was in May.  Someday he might be back in full force.

He was talking about just walking the earth for a little bit a while back.

I expect he'll be back around, but maybe he found a new place in life that is better adjusted than all us malcontents.

You'll find the PC stuff and the Power Point crap almost everywhere now unless you work for a small company.  I work at an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant and the amount of PowerPoint I watch is incredible.  Hell, I swear for every 5 to 10 minute work task I do, there is 30 minutes to an hour of safety paperwork to complete before the job can begin.  As far as the PC stuff, the annual ethics and sexual harassment training is starting re-pop every 4 to 6 months.  Hell, they even threatened once to start issuing write ups if we didn't stop burping and farting in the office.  If we have to quit that, what are we going to do to entertain ourselves.
