Thanks for the IMs showing me Balzacs AIM IM. Thanks again. It's what i needed. I forgot about that IM List thread. So... anyone know a lot about 30-30 lever action rifles? I just passed a hunting course and I'm looking for suggestions to get one with side ejection so i can mount a scope on it. Marlin, Winchester any good kind. Thanks. Do they come in camo? I like Advantage.
P.S. Sorry for posting this here but I wanted to know quick rather than wait a week for a response in the Hometown. |

I have to tell you the Free Balzac72 is probably a little counter-productive. Ever stop to think that staff might be inclined to let him back some day, but certainly would not want to send the message that you can break the rules repeatedly and if people bitch enough you can get a pass... All the while other people bitch about two sets of standards... those for the rank and file and those who get preferential treatment because of a position they hold or people they know.

I don't need to feel better about it, I had nothing to do with it. Quite frankly I'm pretty amivalant about it. I like Greg, I share some of his sentiments. However the rules are what they are and we all agree to abide by them if we want to spend our time here. Maybe if you talked with the staff involved you would appreciate why it was a hard decision to make, but that it was a decision they felt HAD to be made. |

He was banned because of a number of violations for which we was warned each time. The problem wasn't that he should have got away with his comments, the problem was he got away with a lot of other things and the comments were the straw that busted the camel in half! Greg is a good guy at heart, but regardless of my personal feelings, you can only let people get away with things for so long. Even people who are seen as the "in" crowd need to abide by the very few limits we have here. The rules we have are pretty basic and not unreasonable!
In regards to the "Fuck them all" type comments, I have no problem with that being on the site. I think that some generalizations are ok, but when you place hate or anger over it, it just paints too many people with it and shows ignorance. There are muslims in our military killing the insurgents and terrorists in Iraq who deserve your respect. My only issue is with threats of violence against individuals or groups. Why? One very obvious reason is that if someone here took it too far and killed a neighbor, this place would be crawling with gov reps and people wanting information, not to mention people wanting the place shut down and calling for my head. It's a risk that's not worth taking. So hate away, hate till it hurts, but don't threaten death on groups. I figure this may clear a few things up. |

Then deny it after a moderator points it out to him and then has the audacity to keep on editing and locking post not even close to what he did? I think there are two sets of rules here and a certain staff member thinks he has the capability to get away with infractions that would have any regular members account locked.
