Since it is New Years---What guns in your safe have you not shot in the last year?

I have not shot my Ruger P89DCC-whenever I was up for a wonder nine I always grabbed my 92FS. It would make a good garage or truck gun now that the factory fixed it so it doesn't shoot groups anymore. I just am not grabbing it to go shooting.

I have not shot my full size Double Eagle 45--whenever I wanted to shoot a 45 other than my 1911 I always grabbed my Double Eagle Officers, since that is what I carry.

I also have not shot my ex-East German 32 ACP. Just never felt like reloading 32 one case at a time.

I almost didn't shoot my Mossy 590, but I brought it out for the last day of pistol fun night at the club this fall.

It hasn't been quite a year, but since I took this job overseas (going on 7 months now) I haven't been able to shoot my toys.

Remington 700 Sendero in 7RemMag
Mossberg 590 12ga.
Sig 239 in 9mm

I can't wait to get back home.

My Remington 721 .30-06, Remington 700 .22-250, or my Beretta Silver Snipe 12 gauge O/U.

Everything else has gotten some use.

OH, I almost forgot. I haven't shot my Vector UZI yet either. BUT it's not my fault, I swear ! The ATF hasn't approved the transfer to my Arizona dealer yet....  I'm STILL waiting.  [:(]

Wow, shees, most of them.
I have too many C&R rifles.  Most didn't get shot this year.  Heck, I've got a few that I have never fired even once.

Remington 581BDL left handed .22 bolt action.

All the others have seen plenty of use.  [:D]

In fact, this is the first year in quite a few that my guns have been fired. I moved from a very gun-unfriendly area to a small town that has no problem with guns and has a great little club not far from my house! First thing I did was get through the paperwork/permitting process and join the club. I have been a happy man ever since!!!

Most of mine haven't been out of the house this year. I've got three rifles that make every trip to the range, about 15 more that take turns going, and the rest just hang out in the safes.

I'm too embarassed to say.

Let's say my three favorite .22's got a workout, my SKS, my .45 (that I recently sold) and my .22 pistol. Not enough. [:(]

Due to layoff I have not fired any centerfire this year.

I have enjoyed a little release with my 22RF's and shot one of my AR's with the Ceiner conversion. This I do in the comfort of my own home with an Outers bullet trap purchased years back.

The bright side... I have a Smg with can waiting to have the paperwork processed - It was paid in full in 12/2001 - I have just been waiting for a CLEO who would sign for the can... - And he takes office in January.

Crud...just checked the safe--- while waiting for our guests to arrive----

I have an SKS I forgot all about. I bought it years ago when they were seventy bucks as a backup because I was putting a 20 round mag and plastic stock on my first one.

I never shot it after taking the cosmo off with oven cleaner and then spraying with T-9.

Better not let my wife know that  [:)]

My Benelli M1S90 & one of my G19's

Interesting you mention the Double Eagle.
I came real close to buying a Officers LtWt version once & have been kicking myself ever since for not getting it.
I never see those pistols anymore, really scarce these days.
It's a underated gun IMHO, easy to work up a great trigger in one.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass. This is one of the rifles I inherited when my father passed away, and I'll never part with it.

I own eight rifles, six handguns, and one shotgun.
Of that flight - the only ones I haven't shot regularly/or at all last year have been my Ruger MKII 7 Rem Mag, and my Marlin 1894 .44 lever action.
But, not-to-worry, I'm gonna rectify that situation very soon........
I feel a good shooting year comming on!

Here's one that comes to mind.

The only weapon I didn't fire was the old Mossburg 500 w/ the riot barrel that sits behind the nightstand collecting dust. This thread promtpted me to go inspect it, so I had to cycle the shells through....turkey load, 00 buck, turkey load, 00 buck, turkey load. Ouch.

What guns have I not shot:

1.  "My" FNC with an S & H Sear (transfered to my brother out of state until I can move to a free state).

2.  HK 53 (Nick Hope Conversion on a Billistics RR HK 33) as it is sitting at the gunsmiths, again until I finish school and move to a free state.

3.  All the guns stored out of state:
Ruger Vaquero, HK USP .45, Delta Elite, S & W 1006 and 1076, Ruger Mk II, Beretta 21, Ruger 10/22, Swede Mauser, Finnish M-N, Win. 94.

4. A few I have not had a chance to shoot here--
Savage 110 E, Colt 25wcf SAA.

5. Some new ones--another FNC, a Galil, an M1 Garand in .308 and a Rem PSS.

In some cases, I have had other people shoot my guns much more than I have, but I usually try to get off a round or two.

My new years resolution is to shoot all I will have a chance to.

Only have one safe queen and that's a preban stainless Mini-14GB w/factory folder. It's in like 98% or better and don't want to mess it up. Besides I have 4 AR's, a M-21 clone, a PSG-1 clone, and others to play with so it evens out.

Buckaroo, thanks for the reply.  That 721 you've got is a nice rifle.  Got a friend in far West Texas who's looking for one.  He had two 721's, one a .30-06 like yours and a .270 Win.  I won his .270 in a card game about ten years ago and he misses it.  His other 721 was the .30-06 but he sold it to a guy in Lubbock who rebarreled it to some wildcat caliber.  My friend called in early December trying to buy mine back but I'm restoring it.  Told him if I did sell I'd call him.  If you change your mind let me know.  Happy New Year.

A S&W 4 inch 686 and a Taurus model 85. When I get a chance to go shooting other than my .22 I just never pick up the wheelguns. I sold a Ruger single six convertable I dearly whish I had back, 4 5/8 inch barrel and was a sweet shooter.

Hell, I have traded guns that I have not fired.  I just get in the mode of I want something different.

I do not even know what I have, I end up shooting the same 3 or 4 guns every time. The rest just sit in the safe.

My 1851 Navy replica and my 1860 Army replica weren't fired last year. I might pull the nipples on them and hang them on the wall. They are great guns to start with, but I just don't care to reload them.

I try to shoot everything else.

I shot all mine....but sadly there are only four...hopefully an AR will round it out to five soon.
