Looks like a simple tube. IS that all it is?

From what I understand, the KRINK FS helps to redirect muzzle blast/noise directly forward, which makes it easier on teams using short barrelled AR's (10.5") indoors. From what I've read the muzzle blast/noise from such a short barrelled AR is pretty intense to say the least, even with ear protection.

The noise and blast from a 14.5 is bad enough in confined space.

Also it increases back pressure for more reliable cycling.

I'm thinking of getting one for my MRP (16" full auto) and one for my AR pistol.

The MRP cause if it does what you say it does, it can only help a full auto gun, and hte pistol cause I think it'll look wicked and help alot.

thanks for the info!

also:
hmmm. so how long can you make them? I mean if you make a 5.5 inch one can you pop it on a commando upper?

It adds 2.25 inches to the weapon, so don't bother on the MRP, but the pistol could use one.

Exactly, since the gas chamber was moved back because of the 8.2 inch barrel.

Anything that helps I imagine is good. I was shooting prone last weekend and the guy to my left was shooting a 14.5 or 16" AR with Phantom. I thought my head was going to pop when he touched that thing off. I toughed it out because I didn't want to call everyone to cease fire to move my target. I came home that day with a major headache and my ear was ringing even with the 32 decible reduction of my hearing protection. I can't imagine having one above or right next to you with a naked ear.
