Not a movie, but the series is the best WWII documentary I have ever seen.

ETA: You also need "Memphis Belle".

You're right. Haven't watched it in a while.

Nice list, that's what I'm talking about.

To Hell and Back...........................

IMHO, Pearl Harbor sucked and Tora Tora Tora was one of the most boring films ever made. The only cool thing about Tora was seeing a water cooled 50cal in action.

A good oldie if you can find it is a WW-2 movie called "Airforce" it's the saga of one of the B-17 that was trying to land during the raid on pearl harbor. The name of the B-17 was the MaryAnn.

"Guadacanal Diary" is another excellent ww-2 movie

"Sahara" 1943, Humphrey Bogart is another good one. James Belushi did a 1995 remake of "Sahara" almost word for word copie of the 1945 movie. Several allied suvivors and a M-2 Grant tank hold of a Germ. mech infantry regiment at a water hole. Both are among my favories.

The 2005 "Sahara" is not a war movie at all and should be avoided, it sucks!!!

WTF MAN! You don't have Band of Brothers? It is WELL worth the $90 to buy it. Some of the best film making EVER from Hollywood. I've seen each episode 5 times and they STILL get my emotions. It's powerful.

Das Boot

Do NOT watch it dubbed. It must be watched in subtitles for full effect.
