What are your SuperBowl party plans?

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - What are your SuperBowl party plans?

I am doing the chips and dips,margaritas,beer ,tequila shots,with assorted finger foods thing. Seating 8, so far. 65 inches of Mitsubishi goodness.Surround..you get the picture.

So what are the poor folks doing on Super Bowl Sunday?

I'll be enjoying the game at our American Legion post for their annual super bowl party. It is a good event every year, with lots of good folks, good drink and good food.

I'm going to be on ARFCOM and get a nifty copy of all of the commericals. Last year the Bud had super commercial saluting the returning US soldiers from the Middle East at LAX.

I will cook for about 30 people, I don't give a squat about the "game". The food I cook has become the event of the day. I will research the regonial foods and wil match that.
My home Is the place for the "party" we have the Lower level for the disney movies. we have games planed for the kids.

Same thing I have done for the past 3 years... go over to my friend's house. He usually has a big party of around 20+ people, with 3-5 TV's showing the game, tons of beer(he has a Kegerator

) and Tequila shots, BBQ ribs and chicken.

Also they have a pretty good game pool set up. The pot usually gets pretty large.

Then after the game and we're all drunk we usually hook up 2-3 Xboxes and have Halo2 or Battlefront tournaments, but since he is the only one with an Xbox 360 right now, that may not work out

I plan to go hiking into a closed forest reserve to cave I heard about. I'm pretty sure all the forestry people or conservation enforcement officers will either be off for the day, or be too engrossed in the Stupid Bowl to patrol.

Hopefully my 62" JVC 1080p LCoS display arrives before then. I was up on the roof tonight looking west toward Mount Wilson ... and it's really close for over the air high definition.
