Tried talking her into a vacation instead of gift exchange, but since we're already going to FL in April, she doesn't want to take more time off.

Her list sucks so I need to come up w/crap to get her. I think I'll go w/a spa gift card or something like that.

I do know she's getting F Paul Wilson's The Tomb for her birthday, which is right around that time.

I haven't gotten that far yet. We've already set a pretty low limit that works for our budget. I'd love to lavish more gifts on her because she is a good wife, mom, and friend, but we need to get out of debt and get more saved.

The Spa thing works wonders, if you make sure that the package includes what she likes-massage, pedicure, manicure, hair, skin, facial....each is its own minefield

so do your homework up front. In a fair world, each should gain one points. In the real world, not every good deed gains returns. You gotta feel out the recipient as to whether you are doing a good thing or not. This is at least partly due to the implicit criticism that some spa packages involve.
