Wish I could.  They're in Hawaii while I'm stuck here in NC.  Also just got off pulling 24 hours of duty.  Merry Christmas.  Glad I'm not the only one in here.

Same here, I enjoy the solitude the morning brings, then all hell breaks loose......

My mom is stuck home sick with the flu and not accepting visitors.  I've been sick for two weeks as well.

My brother, a US naval officer stationed in Bahrain, is on a safari in South Africa with his family.  They'll all be back in ConUS next year so mom and I hope for a real family Christmas celebration then.  It's been many years since we've all been together thanks mostly to the Canoe Club.

I saw my Tucson, AZ relatives three weeks ago for a late Thanksgiving, and will be seeing the Los Angeles/Ventura/wherever in SoCal gang in January for a wedding.

So today I'm going to roast a boneless leg of lamb and take it to Sparky's, where I will join all the other Christmas "orphans" in the 'hood.

A Merry Christmas to all, wherever you go and whatever you do!

We had our christmas yesterday. I get to kick back and relax. I may do some reloading. I have a bunch of empty 357 brass just screaming for some powder and lead.

I'm working today too.

I'm at work, so one of my employees can be with her family.  Zeny is all the family I have, so we did our thing last night.

Deep frying 2 chickens tonight in the turkey fryer.  YUM!!!

I'm covering for a coworker so that she can go to Indiana to be with her family.  It's only fair since she covered for me over Thanksgiving.

Edit: Oh, and Merry Christmas to all.  Those with little ones, make the most of this joyous day.  [:)]

Since we don’t celebrate x-mas I volunteered for a double shift today (16hrs).  I'm gonna get huge overtime + holiday pay!

I don't.  I slept on them.  I used yesterday's shirt as a pillow, then put it back on this morning at 0'dark-ungodly-early.

We've already done the coffee-n-presents thing.  I'm sitting here in the ready room, waiting to depart on a deep insertion mission into the kitchen to do combat with a rib roast. [:D]

Merry Christmas

I got about 45 minutes before heading over to the ex's to get my two daughters.  Been a long morning without them, but can't wait to get them......I hate sharing them, but it's for the children.

I volunteered to cover my colleage's work yesterday and today so he can go on a re-union with his surviving West Point classmates. Plus, I'm "on the throne" right now.

Well, I was all ready to head down to Tucson with my parents to unwrap gifts with my grandparents but my parent's 10 year old Great Dane wont get up, wont respond to a doggie treat, mothing. She just lays there and shivers. By my reckoning, she's starting to die. My holiday is off to one hell of a start.

I AM with my family. Being the odd lot that I am, I've always felt closer to my friends than my family.

My family is in NY this Christmas.  I'm working.  When I get off I'll go do the Christmas thing with the GF.  I just wish I could go shoot my Christmas gun today, but I'll have to wait for the weekend.
