If a reason is not in the poll list it here...

For some reason I love to argue with old assholes about nothing of importance

The daily glock circle jerk is a nice feature for those of us with woolly necks.

clicked all but Medic
I like that we have National and International News reported here faster than anywhere else, plus the great discussions in GD |

I started visiting this Site around 1999 to learn about the AR platform. Back then it was an informational site that extolled the values of the AR.
I have seen it evolve for the better and in some minor instances worse. But once it became a discussion forum, my knowledge of the AR & other firearms grew too. I'm here because this is a place where those who respect the 2nd amendment and are firearm enthusiast can share info and have fun discussing it regardless of sex, religion, race or sexual orientation. My fave website bar none. Long live Arfcom |

ARFCOM GD is no shit my go-to for big breaking news stories. The threads that collect and collate information from everywhere during an unfolding event are fucking amazing and better than any professional news media.
No kidding, great job guys. |

The fact that differences of opinion never cause anger or hurtful words as we all discuss topics with an attitude of sharing knowledge for the purpose of attaining enlightenment and encouraging tolerance and love.

Threads like this.

I don't have time to sit around at home and watch the news.......so ARFCOM is pretty much my source for current events.

"I came for the technical forums and stayed for GD."
I've seen that posted before and it sums it up nicely. I still enjoy the technical forums and spend some time there, but GD is just about the most fun you can have on the internet. |

Was lurking for info on building my first AR in 2003. I guess the technical side hooked me, but GD is great.
Someone described it as some of or he brightest subject matter experts in the world arguing with the dumbest motherfuckers that can figure out how to turn on a computer. (Probably not the exact quote, but close.) Example: a couple years ago I posted a blurry picture of a tiny bug that came back stuck on me from south america. Within about 30 minutes a entomologist had ID'd it as a paper beetle larvae, which is harmless. Of course there were another 50 people posting "dibs on x" and pictures of aliens popping out of chests. There's probably no way to tell, but the total dollar value of charitable activities coming out of GD has to be impressively high for a tiny special interest website. I know at one point the vast majority of my charitable giving was via GD/striker approved threads. |

The pit is even starting to suffer. I mean come on, the best thing this YEAR was the LT vs G debacle and it was shut down. And the Dpmnn or however it is spelled pit call out fizzled out before it got pit worthy. ETA...I stumbled on this site when looking for hog hunting info. Granted texasboarhunters or whatever site had better info but this one struck me as more entertaining and overall informative. Now I keep my membership for the EE, deals, and CW shenanigans. And the trolls. I like trolls. (This is not an admittance to trolling darn it!) |

The sheer amount of retardation on this forum makes it entertaining.
Some of you fuckers scare the shit out of me. Then there are the quality posters like: Osprey_21 Old_Painless Gravity_Tester Subnet uxb |

On the technical side, loads of great info. On the personal side, lots of laughs to be had.

I like the "Guilty or Not Guilty?" threads.
Especially when she's "not guilty!" |

The freedom to disagree with people of similar beliefs and lifestyle, discussing and expressing opinions on relivant issues without being silenced or met with harsh consequences.
Eta; I love guns and freedom.... so does this site and it's members, despite the occasional lack of critical thinking skills that is pervasive in portions of the site. |
