Funniest was in Life of Brian when Brian was brought before the Pilot with the speech impetiment.

"So you say your father was a woman?"

"No no Roman." <slap> "aahh!"

I love that movie.

Most exciting scene Brave Heart "Our Freedom!" Speech.

Lots of others worth mentioning if I had the time.

Near the end of BlackHawk Down when the cargo plane's storage area doors are closing. It's always tough to watch that part.

Also, the ending scene in the cemetery in Saving Private Ryan.

"Saving Private Ryan" I was scared shitless when the boys tried to take that beach. I knew what it would look like after they did it. The End of the same movie ....I cried like a little girl.

One of the deleted scenes from Heat: After telling Neil that he can't shake the tail Trejo goes home where Waingro, Hugh Benny and some salty lookin' dudes have already done in his wife and are about to administer the beating that leaves him paralyzed and bloody on the floor. One of the few deleted scenes that really should have made the final cut.

True.
When I first saw that scene, it seemed to go on forever, but later I realized the scene was only a few moments.

The scene in SPR when Ryan's mom collapses on the porch thinking she has lost one of her sons. She doesn't know yet that she has lost all but one.

When Jack fell off the raft and sank to the bottom. I was just sobbing....

<BR>

...with joy because I knew the movie was almost over.

... I'm not really a horror movie fan, but when the movie first came out, the dinner table scene in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre left me completely dumbfounded with awe - the scenes leading up to it didn't help either.

... I've found, as I get older I'm much more desensitized by movie-shock. I guess I got numb somewhere between my youth and middle age. Seldom does a movie "move me" anymore - I don't care how graphic or emotional.

... Am I really turning into an old man that fast?

The ending of Last of the Mohicans is always pretty throat tightening...

The end of Das Boot...always makes me sad to see guys you have spent 3 to 6 hours (depending on the version you see) getting to know get killed

The end of Gallipoli, with the guys hanging their last letters and valuables of the hooked quillons of the Pattern 07 bayonets...then Archie sprinting and getting shot....

When Moses (Heston) initially comes before the Burning Bush, and later when he receives the Commandments. Cheesy, old FX aside, those scenes (and most of that movie, FTM) have choked me up ever since I was a small child...

Runner-up: The death of Melanie Wilkes...

Fandango

the crazy ex nam pilot hippie guy flying his Cessna along I-35 rockin out to "Born to Be Wild".....flying under bridges and whatnot to shake the police chopper....trying to get to his buddy's girlfriend and get her back out to West Texas to be married......... blah blah blah blah...that plane scene was badass.

Not me...

There was this movie released in 1975 titled

S.O.S.

It was short for Screw On the Screen.

Go look up who was in the movie and the one gal there who said she was from Missouri.

Take it for granted…There was some Nasty stuff going on in the movie.

Ok, so I'm not the only one moved by scenes in The Matrix. That's comforting.

I would have to say the "Earn this" scene and the ending "Have I been a good man?" scene in the cemetary in SPR were among the most powerful I've watched.
Also have to mention the scene in Unforgiven when Will Muny and the Schofield Kid kill the cowboy with the Spencer. Gut-wrenching.

**WARNING SOME CHICK FLICK STYLE RESPONSES COMING..**

Jessica Lange in Rob Roy regarding her rape by Tim Roth:
"I will think of you dead until my husband makes you so. Then I will think of you no more..."

Last of the Mohicans when Daniel Day Loius slays just about every freaken thing on the planet to get to Madeline Stowe

Saving Private Ryan (lots of scenes too many to mention)

Schindler's list when the little boy tries to hide in the outhouse muck and kids who are already there tell him to leave because they were there first...Blew my mind that children, who should be fighting over toys, were fighting over a position waist deep in excrement.

Sally Field in Steel Magnolias at the cemetary

Kill Bill: When Uma walks into Bill's house and is confronted by the one person she thought she'd never see (won't give it away, just in case)

"The Professional", when Leon gets the crazy DEA dude(Gary Oldman) and says "This is for Mathilde".

"Equilibrium", when Preston discovers the basement full of art and he turns on the music and starts crying, breaking a snowglobe. ALSO, when the woman gets incinerated and he finally breaks down in front of the courthouse, only to be arrested.
