What are the flagship firearms of the gun companies today?

Some "flagship" firearms are obvious. When you think of the firearm manufacturer, you think of that gun first.
Colt has (had) the 1911.
Beretta has the 92fs.
Glock has the G17.

What makes a particular firearm the flagship? Does it have to be the first? Or is it simply their most popular? What are the other gun companies' flagship firearms, in your opinion?

SIG = P226? or the P220?

Smith and Wesson?
Winchester?
Remington?

Remington 700, Winchester M-70 and 94, Marlin the 1894, S&W would be their big bore revolvers .44mag .460 & .500. Deaster Eagle with the Mark XIX in .50AE

Savage 99.

Ruger Mark II. And the 10/22.

Colt 45. Both the SAA and 1911, now that I think about it.

I guess N-frame Smith and Wessons, but that just might be me, because I love N-frame Smith and Wessons.

Mauser 98.

Bushmaster has becme synonomis with AR15 as far as I'm concerned.

AR15 = Bushmaster

Bushmaster = AR15

All Barrett .50 cals. I guess the M 82A1 is the flagship. They are going to part of the next big gun control battle. .50s were banned in California, and it worked. Now VPC and the Brady Bunch are trying to get them banned federally. They are tryign to make the Barrett rifle symbolize terrorism.
