Aside from national chains with contracts with Coke like McDonald's and such all the restaurants around here serve Pepsi. Pepsi machines and coolers are more common than Coke machines and coolers. Most gas stations have two coolers full of Pepsi products and only a row or two of Coke. Preference in beverage seems as regional as what word we call it for example "Coke" down south as a generic term, "pop" up north or "soda" as it is called here.

In most places in Europe and Asia people live stacked on top of each other in condensed cities. Walking to the store or work is practical when nothing is more than a mile away. I don't think I would would trade them that. I like my open space and privacy.

An old co worker of mine from Australia ate that stuff. He offered me a bit one day and out of curiosity I tried it. It was like there was a gay orgy in my mouth and everybody was shitting themselves and throwing up. One of the worst things I have ever tasted and I'm old enough to remember Crystal Pepsi.

If you'd spent much time outside the US you'd understand more.  The vast majority of cars sold in the US are autos, the vast majority sold outside the US are manuals.  I think it's hilarious that in Germany automatics are for grandmothers too weak to push the clutch on a manual, not for lazy ass "day to day drivers".

Are they?  All I know is the rest of the world seems to have more incidents of infectious disease than the USA, so draw your own conclusions about that not-all-hung-up-about-sexual-mores take ....

This is more from a lack of hygiene and poor or non existent health care coupled with a general ignorance of STDs and ways to prevent their spread. In undeveloped or developing countries. Western Europe and Japan for example are on par with the US for STD rates.
