Crocodiles tear apart Thai suicide woman

BANGKOK, Thailand (Reuters) -- A Thai woman killed herself by jumping into a pit of more than 100 crocodiles, shocking crowds of onlookers at a Bangkok reptile farm.

The woman, 40, climbed a two-meter high fence and jumped into a concrete enclosure at the Famut Prakarn Crocodile Farm on the outskirts of the Thai capital, a tour guide who witnessed the event said Sunday.

A crocodile dragged the woman into a pond and several animals swarmed over and tore her body apart.

"She did not cry or scream when she was bitten," Tanet Virayaporn, the tour guide, told Reuters.

"It happened so quickly. Nobody could do anything."

Police said the woman had left a suicide note in which she complained about her husband and apologized to family members.

Hundreds of people were visiting the crocodile farm, a popular tourist attraction, when the woman committed suicide.

I had just read that story before I logged on here. I would not want to check out by being something elses food. I would not want to have seen that either.

Yikes! I know she was female but it took some SERIOUS cajones to do suicide by croc.
I've seen lots of gators, never crocs tho-crocs are supposedly [b]MUCH[/b] more aggressive, eat lots of different things.
Things like fish and small birds go down whole.
Animals too large to go down whole, like mud ducks and dogs (alligators love dog above all other things and can smell them from a [b]long[/b] way) get clamped and rolled till drowned. Then Wally-gator will rip the carcas into bits, tearing off and swallowing huge chunks-o-flesh.

NOT a way I would choose to off myself.

Most alligator attacks occur only when they feel threatened (Mama Gator is very protective of her young) or when they are surprised, normally by being stepped on in murky water.

I think if I was the husband that I'd send the reptile farm a bill for providing feed though.

This lady was obviously a liberal....she took the "green" way to comitting suicide. Why pollute the ground with embalming fluid or the air with your ashes when you can just feed a croc, fertalize a tree and kill yourself in one fail swoop [:)]

I never really knew how big Nile crocs get,
Then one night I was watching the discovery ch. and i saw this whole heard of Zebras,they were crossing a river and a croc grabbed one of them in mid air,i thought shit why were a whole heard of baby Zebras doing bunched up together like that ?
Then i understood as a real baby Zebra was taken by one of the crocs,it was half the size as the others and the adult Zebra looked small in the crocs jaws,man those things are friggin huge and scary.
