As i have been up sense 0500 preparing for a fun filled day of stamping out lives and saving disease
![]() I got to have my Folgers 100% Colombian brewed double strength w/ a pinch of sugar and splash of milk. ![]() |
Sumatra, black, when it's normal coffee. I like my coffee bold
Espresso, four shots, black, when it's turbo time ![]() |
Lazy: Dunkin' Donuts Original
Not that lazy: Fresh ground Ruta Maya (from Austin) Dark in the french press |
I'll play in order of preference
Royal Cup French Roast(commercial use only that I know of) Yuban dark french roast (daily use) Seattle's best darker roasts not up on cutesy names, 12 oz coffee brewed, 1 pkt sweet and lo, splash of 2% milk gets my brain de-gaused most mornings.. ![]() |
Lately, favorite has been Sumatra Lintong. Grind it, brew it, enjoy.

Quoted: What is the one that that wild cat in Asia Sh^*s out ? Kopi Luwak. I've had it. Its good shit. ![]() Sorry, had to throw that pun out there. But seriously, I have had it and it pretty much tasted like regular coffee to me. I know its expensive, so I couldn't see why someone would pay extra for it. |

Seattle's best darker roasts not up on cutesy names, I've been trying some different coffees lately and I picked up one of Seattle's Best dark roasts. The stuff smells and tastes like cigarette ashes! ![]() I have to make it weak and add a lot of sugar just to drink it. I've recently cut way back on the processed carbs so it's changed my coffee drinking habits. For the drip machine I've been quite happy with 8 O'clock Coffee 100% Columbian . My favorite K-cup is Green Mountain Coffee's Breakfast Blend. I'm getting a couple of bags of their whole beans for Christmas so I'm hoping for the best of both worlds. ![]() |

Just received a batch of green unroasted coffee from Sweet Maria's; I'll get back to ya.
I throw some Green Mountain Medium Blend in my Keurig and I'm good to go. I like my coffee like I like my women.....strong and early in the morning!
Thanks to Arfcom I now roast my own. I just worked my way through the sampler batch from Sweet Marias and I need to order a 25lb bag of some Ethiopian beans. I roast to what I think is City Roast+.

8 O'clock Whole Bean 100% Colombian. For the money there is nothing better.

Quoted: 8 O'clock Whole Bean 100% Colombian. For the money there is nothing better. Me too, I started using whole bean in Afghanistan and I can't stop. Now I've started mixing 8 O'clock with dunkin donuts french vanilla in the coffee grinder and it tastes awesome! |
Kroger's generic whole bean. I think it's called Spotlight or some such nonsense. My Capresso coffee maker does the voodoo that it do oh so well quite nicely on it.
I brew my own. My preference is for Folgers Classic. Add a little cream and sugar. Nothing fancy for me.

I rotate through various medium dark to dark coffees. I like Dunkin' Donuts. I also like the various offerings that Folgers has. I find that after one whole can, I am ready for a slightly different flavor next.

Seattles best medium roast with 2 shots..my go juice. Like a pot of coffe in a cup.
At home I have a mr. Cofee with a standard brew and strong as shit brew feature. Most of the stuf we drink at home is folgers light to medium roast like the breakfast blend or brazillian. |
Tim Hortons.
I bought a big bag of their beans and grind them up at home. Whatever flavor of creamer the wife buys and some sweetener (that new stuff, Trivia, or whatever its called). |
