What do you guys wear for rappelling off malls and stuff?

I had some magnums, but they've given up the ghost.Thinking about the Danner Acacia types.

Anyone have luck with the Adiddas GSG boots? I was talking to some fat guy in the gun shop and he said the GSG's rip/come apart easy.Hell, I looked at what he was wearing and no matter what he was gonna put on them they were gonna fold.

[lolabove] I love my GSG9s. I'm tempted to buy a closetful in case they ever quit making them - is that a strong enough endorsement? I'd sleep and fuck in them. Botach has them on sale right now for 139.00 I believe.

danner's have both the arcadia's for summer and the ft lewis for winter. i'm hard on boots, these hold up forever, and when you do wear them out, send them to the fact and they will rebuild them for a nominal cost best price i found on the ft lewis is here. I prefer Danner Acadias myself. The Oakley and Adidas boots are fine for level, urban environments, but just doesn't offer enough support in rough, uneven terrain.

I like Bates and I have some cheapo side zip boots I got from Big 5 for $25, and they are good quality.

I have a pair of Georgia Boot Co. Cap toe military boots, there nice also Rockey 9/11 high tops are a nice boot. I worked at a uniform store in Phoenix and got a pair of 9/11's to use as my motorcycle boots. They had a flat sole so you could move your feet around on the pegs and they lasted like they were made out of iron. The pavement get very hot in Phoenix in the summer the the soles are normally the first thing to go on your boots but they worked great. Plus, they were light and very comfortable.
