The Butcher Bird for me. I had one relative that flew them (an A6), and one that worked on them. It was a true fighter-bomber, and stayed competetive right up to the end. Kurt Tank had some great designs, but the FW 190 is one of the greatest ever.

Spitfire, no doubt about it. Specifically, the MkXVI. The most graceful WWII bird ever, and quite a nimble air-to-air dogfighter too.

Lots of military stuff is neat-o, but of the types of planes I've flown myself, it'd have to be this one :

The Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche.   It's efficient, it's cheap to feed, it carries enough stuff, and it's just plain fun to fly.

I might change my mind if anyone wants to take me up in a two-holer F-15 or F-16 though .

WWII heavy bomber: B17 Fortress
WWII medium bomber: B25 Mitchell (grandfather fixed those during the war)

Vietnam era:  F4 Phantom II (dad flew those bad boys)

Modern: F15E Strike Eagle (dad almost got to fly those)

Helo: Hughes 500MD

About 1993, after their admittedly rather dismal performance in the Gulf War.

AFAIK, the only OV-10’s in current use by the U.S. government are used for spraying drug crops in South America.  There are also a very small number maintained by a couple of states for fighting forest fires.

Apparently the large cargo area in the back of the fuselage is great for storing water or herbicide tanks.

Sadly, I believe a prototype OV-10 that was being restored to flying condition by a museum was just destroyed in a hanger fire!!

Monocoupe 110 Special
Laird-Turner Meteor
Bucker Jungmeister
P-36

Did I neglect to mention that I'm a round motor freak?
