Today a new monument dedicated to the WWII veterans from my county was dedicated. Myself and a few other reenactors and collectors set up a small display of WWII weapons, equipment, and other memorabilia.

These pics were taken while we were still setting up, we ended up with quite a display of US weapons and equipment. The vets really enjoyed seeing all the gear and weapons, they had a chance to show thier family members a little bit of what they did and used during the war. The kids also got to see a bit of history that isn't taught in school anymore, and they loved climbing on the jeep to have thier picture made. The turn out was really big, and the ceremony including the awarding of a Purple Heart to a veteran who just recently had it awarded for wound suffered in 1944.
