What happens to all the post bans that are already stocked and on shelves in the dealers and store shops?

Would you buy one knowing that you could have the same thing but with evil features for the same price?

Just wondering,

Stone

gun dealers will kick up the price and say "theres never going to be anymore of these postban rifles again, so the value has increased."

I asked a similar question the other day when speaking with a local dealer.

"So, what are you gonna do with all the 10 round pistol mags after Monday?"

"Eh... someone will buy them.  Mags are mags."

Someone WILL buy them... as long as he sells them cheap as hell.

Ain't no shit.

A lot of dumbasses will walk by identical rifles and pay 75% more for a preban.

There are states where they are the only game in town.

They'll probably call them Post Pre-bans

All to be sold in NJ where the AWB really won't ever go away.

You obviously haven't been paying attention.

The guns in question will escape to the streets en masse, where they will be scooped up by school children, drug cartels, terrorists, and guys with hairnets and big car trunks.

WERD...if there are two brand-new AR-15s on the shelf right next to each other, and one is a "post ban" for $799, and the other is a "post AWB sunset" with all the formerly restricted features for $999, guess which one I'll buy...$200 buys a shitload of ammo...

they'll be sold to dealers in NY and other states with non-expiring awbs
or people that don't care about bayo lugs and flash supporessors will buy them
to be honest I don't care all that much about those features other than the principle of it being unConstitutional to ban them

Some will make it to my house, I am always up for a good deal, telestocks are easy to put on later.  $200 does buy a lot of ammo

My ArmaLite post-ban upper would be just great IF THE BRAKE WAS REMOVABLE.

I'll buy one of those post bans. A barrel swap is  no problem at all.

You mean "barrel assembly swap" or "upper receiver assembly swap".

The cheap ten round pistol mags will be snapped up by savy gun owners that will take the obstruction out and have full cap mags for less than half the price of the new full cap mags. There wont be any law stopping them.

That's what'll happen.

They will sit on the dealer shelves collecting dust and in 10 years people will be asking how come a $500 AR15 without a flash hider and bayonet lug is going for $800.....

Rapid depreciation.  Current new, never shot prebans will be valued a bit under new production rifles simply because they are older.

That's how I see it.

The postbans are still excellent rifles are they not?

Most if not all of the mags were made to be "tamper proof" so you can't switch em' back to full cap.  They either have cuts in them or an over size floor plate and a short  mag body.  Still, if they're cheap enough someone will buy them. Doesn't effect me, my 1911a1 normally only takes an 8 round mag anyway.

Rifle sales will be a little slow - I still say that it's those full-size pistols with neutered 10-round mags that will be hard to sell.

I'll go ahead and say it, everybody likes their gun set up their way but FH and BL mean absolutely nothing to me.  Being able to put a true M4 stock on my postban is going to be great however.  Someone will buy them (postban's) even if they are just $25 cheaper.

Certain folks will want 'em-- a crowned barrel is damn accurate for varmint hunting and the bench resters.

The rest of us...  Well, I'd buy one and would add my own telestock and thread the barrel.
