I did almost the same thing on a check to the Cable Co. the other day.  The amount was 119.24 and in the box I put the right amount but on the line I wrote out 124.00.

They deposited the check anyway... I guess no one noticed.

Florida DOR gives you 2 free goofs, beyond that then they start with interest and penalties.

How do I know?  I made a goof and then sent them a check for the goof + interest and penalties - then the FL Dept of Rev sends me a letter with a credit for the amount of the check I sent them.

I thought that was very nice to allow 2 free mistakes before dumbass declaration.

It was at that point that I realized I wasn't a dumbass, just a human.

Sorry to hear that...but don't let it get you down.

Just to put it in perspective, last year the fargin' IRS came after us for over $15k and it was a mistake on the part of one of their drones that caused them to send me this very scary letter with some totally incomprehensible forms.  They claimed I too had grossly underreported my income.  I had submitted two W-2s because the company I had been working for had screwed up during a corporate takeover and had submitted erroneous withholding to them at year's end.  Essentially they doubled my income.  When I got the first, I quickly realized that it was incorrect and called them on it so they sent another, correct one...but by this time the damage was done and the IRS was lying in wait to get me.

My accountant had a hell of a time fixing that.  I ended up owing $37 in interest...so sorry!  That was on top of a screwup by my accountant and me that cost me $1100 earlier that year.

So...take heart...you will recover.

Go clean an EBR...it is soooo...calming...(If taken with a lexapro! )

so far i have commitments for about 35 write in votes. it would be funny as hell to hear the news reports showing the results have to say...

and some guy name The_beer_slayer has 1% of the vote

I'd probably vote for you, but I live in TN.

Of course, there are places where living out-of-state is considered to be 'a mere technicality' when it comes to voting.......
