Now that we have BHO...We can have the "War on Violence"!

What will they think of next?  A "War on Intelligent Thought"?

You guys are fools, you can't fight things like stupid, you have to fight people!

That's why I'm proposing the War on The Stupid.

It's always pissed me off when people have dismissed the 'War on Terror' phrase; 'war on emotions' can't be won, etc. The only reason it exists is because people/media have such a short attention span nowadays that soundbites are the only thing that gets through.

The global 'war on non-state/state-sponsored groups that conduct terrorism against Western interests' isn't a war against an emotion, it's against a tactic, one that has limited effect. Groups like Al-Qaeda have no endgame, they have no win-condition, they literally cannot win, it's purely a matter of how long it takes, and how much it costs us to relearn that terrorism only works if you let it.

The people that perpetuate the idea that the GWOT is unwinnable are the ones who want the West to lose it.

The "War" in "War on Terror" implies that we're killing people.  We are.
The "War" in "War on Drugs" means nothing.

Really.
Unless you're killing people, you're not at war.

Next is the 'War on Greed'....

So you're saying that people aren't killed on a daily basis because of drugs?

People die everyday, be it from car wrecks or OD.
100% of everyone who has eaten fresh fruit, will die or are already dead.
Stats can prove anything

Drugs just sit there, like my guns.

People kill themselves with drugs, and it's a damn shame.

If we were out there shooting drug dealers on the street, then I might consider it a "war".  But, we're not.
Now, those Zetas in Mexico understand what a "Drug War" is all about.

As it is, it's just a piss poor attempt to protect people from their own wants and desires, at the expense of my civil rights.  Complete waste, complete failure.

The 'war on terror is impossible to win, using the idea that nation building is the answer.

Just as the 'war on poverty' will fail as wealth redistribution is not the answer.

Just as the "war on illiteracy" will fail as handing more power to the feds, and money to the teachers union is not the answer.

I prefer the phrase  "the war against terror", or TWAT.

Hell, who isn't in favor of twat?

I think he was referring to the "no knock" warrant, basically an off shoot of the war on drugs. Perhaps that does not claim enough lives for you to consider it a war, but there it is.
