I'm going to miss this ole girl, but I'm looking forward to what is going to replace her. Great way to spend part of this day.

Tennessee, patron state of shooting stuff.

Springfield M1903? Why are you going to miss her?

Where in middle TN (in general)? I need to break the cherry on this:

Knoxville checking in...

I would kill to be able to walk out my back door and shoot... nice looking set ups both of you have.

Looks like fun! Where did you go shooting?
Link Posted: 1/18/2015 9:00:45 PM EST

It was a no go here because of freezing rain. The cold isn't a problem as it makes the guns cool down faster.

What a beautiful day it was. Im live in cannon county. Went to my dads in murfreesboro and wrenched on our new car and made a couple of test hits off the trans brake. Then we went to a local gun store to check out what they had for bolt guns chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. Was a great day

Nice. What was the temp?
Link Posted: 1/18/2015 9:42:12 PM EST
My phone said 57 in murfreesboro but felt more like mid-low 60's. Not a cloud in the sky either. Today was nice too but a bit cooler at my house

Finslayer83 and I went to Owl Hollow Range yesterday morning to shoot our ARs and pistols. It was a bit cool at 8:45 but warmed up quickly.

Very nice today in Tennessee. I went to Hellmart and Sams in Huntsville and then got a little tractor time in when I got home. still too wet to plow and disc but the box blade did well.

Shooting? Yeah, I remember doing that, long ago.

Yea, it's a Gibbs 1903A4 reproduction. I'm selling her to fund some 'smithing I'm having done to a K98.

SW Rutherford county.

Some of my father-in-law's property, a bean field that he's pushed a berm up for me and other family to shoot into. 5 minutes from my house. Very convenient.

Correct. 'Smith is pulling the barrel on the K98 as we speak (I hope).

It's been spring-like weather here in Maryville the past few days. My match Saturday was beautiful. If only it would stay like this...

Beautiful day yesterday and should be today.

I spent the afternoon in Jackson,TN at the gunshow. Lots of nice stuff, but the prices were still high. $80 LPKs, .50/round 5.56, few if any stripped lowers other than Anderson $49.

bought a hammock and beef jerky.

I waited until after lunch with the extended family, so it was 1400 or so. Almost perfect t-shirt weather for me. I need to get by Owl Hollow sometime. Having a personal, private spot to go keeps me from getting by there.

Not too far from me then, SW Lincoln county. Stop by and say hello the next time you're in the area!

Nice Gibbs!

Another TN member checking in! Im sure it was nice shooting today but some of us had to work! LOL. I did shoot a couple handguns yesterday though. I picked up an SR9C a couple weeks ago and put a crimson trace laser on it so I got it all dialed in with the irons and the laser. Then I ran 50 rds through a vaquero in 44-40. Its a shame to say it but the SR9C outshoots the vaquero! I feel sorry for those here who have to go somewhere to shoot, all I did was walk across the yard. Ive also got a perfect 100 yd range on my back porch.

I'm jealous of yall's backyard ranges. Had to wait in line for a bench at ORSA today, where their "sporting rifle range" still isn't complete.

We get here early and bail when it starts to get crowded. A trip to Strategic Edge is in the works, but no firm date is planned yet. Give either of us a PM next time you want to shoot.
